Yeah.. This card is kinda difficult to set up for. Maybe on the Galactus or Prison Map - but on the prison map, most times 2 squares will be enough.

Done. I'll be fielding in on Gorgon. On a team with E AW Quicksilver, Karnack, and...something. I'll let you know how it goes

Ok, I'll try to get this back on topic.

But if you read the text of the card it says that:

"Characters against which this attack succeeds are dealt no damage, but are knocked back four squares."

So those figures might not even take damage from KB. Point to ponder.

Though it does have it's uses:

Shock the Turtle events. As mentioned previously.

Splitting up value sharing teams like SS/JSA/Defenders/ or any team that requires adjacency.

Knocking a Stealthed figure out of their terrain.

Moving an opposing figure into your friendly figure. Since FB is a random distance.

Freeing up your Nimrod from multiple grounded figures so he can PW. Or your Thanos so he can PB.

Anyways, if I don't win a single protected this week, Shockwave will go into EVERY Floor team I make for Stage II. Dead Serious.

"Knockback" is not an official game term - the rulebook only speaks about "knock back", "being knocked back", etc. So yes, any damage from being knocked back into a wall or off elevated terrain would still apply.

What do you think the odds are of successfully using Shockwave to damge someone and then using Crossbones's Brainwash power to mind control them? How elaborate of a setup would that take??

The good news is I won with what I consider one of my weaker theme floor teams, so my Spies and Future teams are still waiting in the wings for other weeks!

I love all these wonky cards. I love trying to find neat uses for them. And this one will be....interesting to say the least. And besides, they said these new feats should come in handy in weeks 5-9 right?
