Unless they have changed it (which is possible), if you roll doubles against someone with Combat Reflexes, they will be knocked back. If they still have CR after damage is resolved, then any knockback damage they take is reduced to 0.

I'll repeat it again what was said before: CR characters can choose if they want to be knocked back or not
Nightmare would be apporiate for this. And his 14 att would not suffer.
But to what use? Much better to put stunning blow, armor piercing, and knockdown on him. Once we get the new keywords for retired figures, pair him up with somone else who shares a keyword, and go to town every single turn giving 2 tokens plus damage. Heck throw in the exhaustion BFC for extra fun.

Ok, but the powers and abilities card says that they can choose to take knockback from any successful attack that deals damage.
First they have the choice to take knockback if they wouldn't otherwise, not to ignore it if doubles are rolled. And secondly, terrify does no damage so they don't get the option anyways.

Wasn't paying attention on that one though
....So in my oppinion they will take knockback since it isn't damage. Doubles are then kinda irrelevant though
I know this is a late post, but the PAC I have doesn't say they can choose not to be knocked back. It says they may choose to be knocked back from any damaging attack. I'm not trying to be a rules lawyer, but that seems to be a pretty significant difference. If it's been ruled otherwise in a FAQ, I missed it at 2:30 in the morning (more than likely, lol).

A few things. First, I'm not sure what the point of your post is in relation to the Terrify card. No damage is dealt with the card, so figures affected can't choose to not take the knock back. Second, you should probably state what PAC you're pulling information from when making a point, as only the most current PAC holds any relevance. Here's what I pulled from the latest PAC (LoSH)

When doubles are rolled as part of an attack that hits an opposing target the figure hit takes damage and is knocked back equal to the damage taken. Combat Reflexes clearly overrides this rule, because as the power itself states that because the figure has taken damage - it can choose to be knocked back - regardless of doubles. Period.

Sorry, the whole 2:30AM thing was clouding my brain.
My post was in response to this statement, not the Terrify card. Going by the description you posted of CR (from the same PAC, I really should have gone to bed) characters with CR can't choose to not be knocked back. If it's been ruled otherwise that's fine, but if not, a general statement like that could cause confusion.

Right, (Terrify card aside) characters with CR can choose to take knockback on any attack that deals damage. It says nothing however about choosing to ignore knockback when knockback is given.
