I don't like how they are allowing people to play colossals in events that are likely going to be highly competitive. It's going to lead to everyone playing colossals and if you don't you're screwed.
Along with 3 "open" weeks where you can play whatever your judge lets you... the formats actually seem fairly balanced given the varied point totals and all. I just worry that the final 600 point event will be a complete fiasco with everyone bringing big figures.
Hey, don't interupt the WK bashing by bringing up the facts!
Don't you know any better???

So is all Marvel allowed on the last even, or just Galactus, or is he allowed at all? I'm confused by words.
Based on the wording it's 600 points restricted... meaning any tournament legal Marvel/DC/Indy figure would be playable... since no colossals have been retired they would all be legal as well.

Thats what I see too. Colossals are a BAD idea. Almost as bad as the fact that if wizkids and diamonds dont get their act together these events will blow if distro is as bad as its been for M&M.
Plus 11 weeks? Thats a bit too much. The prizes better be damn well worth it.

It is a real shame but with the advocacy of theme teams there are some real BFC's that will KILL colossal's. I mean Starro is awesome as is Galactus but with shrunk in play at their lowest point level they have a 6 range. Old Galactus that doesn't hurt much (with his nifty cosmic attack) but I mean that's really a pain to get by. They are decently beatable. Still tough but beatable.

M&M had bad distrobution? I didnt think it was all that but mine is a small field compared to the mass market.
And a cold shudder of realization fills the room....
There are only two events that are "DC Only" and one is a special unrestricted that allows the use of any DC set from Hypertime on up... so for that event, no those aren't retired.
There are DC versions of Armor Piercing and Stunning Blow.
And reading the "open weeks" it makes it sound like those will have to be venue supported although I could be misreading it.
I'm reading it as the Unrestricted events that were given out by WK this summer/fall. I.e. old LEs given out, if any.
And as far as the Colossals go... as long as we can rule that old Galactus uses the new rules, I think it'll be okay. If nothing else, I think a 600 point team of Green Lantern Corps could have some fun against a colossal, with their ATA.
Overall, I LIKE. It almost seems like Avengers v. Justice League, with M&M event cycle vs. Crisis event cycle. A lot more thought and "what players want" is echoed here.

There will be a combined 5% limit on feats and bystander tokens for Phase III; that is, no more than 5% of any build total can be made up of these two elements in this phase.

Yup that's why I said Wizkids supported unrestricted, I'm hoping my judge will have big point unrestricted events, but you never know. My gripe is the fact that wizkids has pretty much given the cold shoulder to sanctioned unrestricted events there was a massive number of zero in M&M and they topped that with one in Crisis.

There were at least 2 unrestricted events during the M&M timeframe. Now they didn't have M&M prizes but they were there and were WK supported (albeit with older LEs).
