And, keeping with the times, the Leader will also be a different color. His skin will be purple and he'll wear green pants, keeping somewhat with the old motiff.
But the Leader won't be the same old Samuel Sterns. In keeping with Rick Jones being the new Abomination, and Len Samson (possibly) being the new Hulk, the new Leader will be... Pete Wisdom!
No... what am I thinking... that's stupid. Not even Warren Ellis would write something that stupid, and certainly not in the Ultimate Universe.
HeroClix needs more Goblin.
Acceptable in such forms as Green, Grey, Demo, Hob, Ultimate, and "Menace."

Nah. The Leader will be Thunderbolt Ross and Betty will become The Harpy again.
Superman: "One of these days, Lois....POW!!! Right to the Marvel Universe!"

I actually chose Pete Wisdom because in Warren Ellis's "Ultimate Human" they introduce the Ultimate version of the Leader, who is, lo and behold, Pete Wisdom. It wouldn't bug me very much if it made any logical sense, but I think the only reason for it is because Ellis created and therefore loves Pete Wisdom, and probably thinks Wisdom needed an Ultimate version far more than Samuel Sterns.

Brother Eye merged with Apokolips (the freakin' planet!) but can't take over Karate Kid for some reason. And Holly Robinson (or whatever her name is) and Harley Quinn got powers from the greek gods.
So...
Until DC puts out something good again and stops doing massive continuity changing crossovers and tying every other book into them... Make Mine Marvel!
I think you forgot to mention how totally great Green Lantern is what with the whole Sinestro Corps War and aftermath, with the introduction of new ideas to the GL mythos and just all in all great writing.
JSA is pumping strong, Uncle Sam and the Freedom Fighters is a great underlooked book, Superman in Action Comics is spot on cool.
There ARE plenty of good things at DC. Just mentioning things that happened in ONE issue of a series is not enough proof for this guy.
I'm going to hit him really, really hard with a big green boxing glove............ I'm kidding. - Hal Jordan

You are right. DC is putting out SOME good things. Blue Beetle and Nightwing are my current favourites. Brad Meltzer and Rags Morales on Nightwing is amazing.
And the Sinestro Corps story was awesome, but the Alpha Lanterns stuff is dragging a little. I think I'd rather have seen John Stewart become one, because it would have been more interesting than all the Alpha Lanterns being bit characters.
JSA is pumping strong, but I still feel the inclusion of KC Superman is a hackneyed attempt to take something that is generally regarded as great (Kingdom Come) and tie it onto something new for no good reason other than sales. Kingdom Come is great, no doubt about it. But JSA right now is "Kingdom Come Superman comes to Earth-1 and joins the JSA! Why?! Because it's cool!" And as much as it's good, I can't get past that.
Uncle Sam and the Freedom Fighters and Superman in Action Comics I don't read on a regular basis. I plan on picking the current Action Comics series up in trade because of the Legion's involvement, and I might do the same with Uncle Sam.

You got some good taste in comics IMO.
But that great team on Nightwing is Peter Tomasi and Rags, Tomasi having been an editor at DC for years before making the leap to awesome comics writer!
And I must say that hes the 1st writer to make Nightwing a must read since Dixon left the book way back when !
His Black Adam series was f-in brilliant as well!

My mistake. I thought it was billed as being the "Identity Crisis" team, which is why I said Meltzer. But yes, Nightwing is finally good again. Everything leading up to Infinite Crisis through One Year Later and beyond was terrible, and the last 2 issues have swept it all under the rug brilliantly.

Nah, Red Hulk is Bruce Banner. The blast at the end of WWH fundamentally altered him so now his rage becomes manifest as the Red Hulk. Red Hulk is a Psionic manifestation of the Hulks inner rage...or not.
