Unless you are Hal. I am going to have to let him rest next issue.

1) Jennifer Pushes (Willpower) to move to D22. (I wanted to shoot and with Pteran's Enhancement could even take out the pog but just don't want to risk missing with that cruddy 5 attack. :disappoin )
I guess that Pteran will earn his place on my team by pumping up the TAP! Can I capture a pog?
The Green Lantern Corps:
[4] E Unl Green Lantern (0/8) KOed
[8] LE Jennifer-Lynn Hayden (1/7) D22 @10@11
[14] Pteran Ryde (E Tomar Re) (6/7) L22
Turn 12a (Sorry the numbering was off!):
1) Pteran Ryde will RS to I21 and shoot the starling in L18. Def. 14 - att. 10 = need 4. Rolled 6,5=11 hit. The starling takes 3 - 1 toughness = 2 clicks and is koed.
The Green Lantern Corps:
[4] E Unl Green Lantern (0/8) KOed
[8] LE Jennifer-Lynn Hayden (1/7) D22
[14] Pteran Ryde (E Tomar Re) (6/7) L22 @12
So I'm thinking to myself "I need an 11. Not really a lot of chance of me affecting the game this turn."
13b
1) Starling throws something heavy at Pteran. Needs an 11, gets an 11. 1 damage to Pteran.
2) Starling tries to throw something heavy at Pteran. Needs a 10, gets a critical miss. The poor thing's arms slip and he drops the rock on his own head.
The Green Lantern Corps:
[4] E Unl Green Lantern (0/8) KOed
[8] LE Jennifer-Lynn Hayden (1/7) D22
[14+2+2ko from previous turn] Pteran Ryde (E Tomar Re) (5/7) I21
The GLs lost sight of Evil Star and let up their barrage of constructs. Evil Star saw his chance and laughing evilly blasted her with a golden burst of star power. Jade was thrown back from the edge of the building away from the starling that had just climbed up to attack her.
“JENNIFER!!!!!” A wild flurry of energy made Evil Star duck behind some debris but failed to connect with the evil emperor of the stars.
Jade picked herself up and leaped into the air. She used the covering file that Pteran was laying down to go to his side. Peteran, determined not to let up, pushed himself to the limit, his hair stood on end and green energy crackled around him as he pored energy down onto Evil Star. Jennifer added her energy to his and created a giant flaming fountain of green energy blew through Evil Star’s shield. Circuitry on his belt fried out and he screamed in pain and rage. But the fleet footed villain ducked behind some concrete debris before the shield completely failed and survived the blast.
Jennifer and Pteran finally ran out of juice and had to pause for a moment, sweating and panting they looked like a couple of heavyweight boxers at the end of 12 rounds. Their opponent didn’t look any better, but he popped up and with one hand smashed Pteran’s shield into green flecks of dust, the other popped Jade’s like a soap bubble. ‘Now my pets!’ The starlings threw whatever was at hand and a shower of objects rained down on the surprised green lanterns. A large motorcycle crashed into Jade and knocked her to the ground. She rose on shaky legs.
“Ow! I think it’s time for a new uniform. Something dark that Batman would approve of.” They ducked back from the side of the building. “Who is that?” asked Peteran. “Nevermind, no time to explain now tell me later. MOVE!” With that the whole building shuddered as Evil Star blasted it trying to get at the GLs hiding on the roof above him. Peteran went intangible and flew through the building at an angle, hoping to get right to a spot with a clear shot at Evil Star. He calculated correctly and lined up his shot as Evil Star spotted him and swung his hand. The thin but powerful beam zipped out straight to the tyrant but a short blast erupted from the hand before the mind controlling it was incapacitated. The blast connected with Pteran but his shield absorbed the brunt of the blast. Jade followed him in a more conventional way, still weak with the beating she had taken.
“Get clear! You are in no shape to continue, get Hal and get clear. I can finish off these starlings, especially with Evil Star out of the picture.” Jennifer thought to argue and then realized that she wasn’t sure if her damaged legs would even hold her up as she had been flying since the motorcycle hit her. She flew to the top of a building and started to work out how to get back to where Hal had fallen.
A mass of the little starlings had approached Pteran in a pack. He leapt up and started blasting down on them. They threw objects up and one glanced him. One picked up an object that was too big though and then slipped in some goo from a smashed starling. The starling’s feet sailed out and the starling landed on its back. The heavy piece of concrete landed directly on its head and smashed it. Pteran backhanded the last standing starling and knocked it unconscious.

Just want to state in a post that I want Hal to sit out the next match. Much as I want him to earn points, I don't want to start hurt figs. Besides the way I wrote the ko up he probably won't be moving much, or at least very steadily, for a while.
You can write up who you want to replace him. Maybe Jade and Pteran go see Katma?

Evil Star fell with such force that the ground cracked beneath him. Jade felt a rush of wind hit her as the boom of his fall rang in her ears. The ringing continued, but she'd gotten used to that by now. She knew it was just exertion - the strain of a fight that pushed her to her absolute limits. Before coming to space, before the Green Lantern Corps, she'd never felt that level of exhaustion before. Now it seemed like she was running into it on a weekly basis. But maybe it was paying off, because before the Corps, she never could have survived something like this.
"Jen!" Pteran called from behind her. He rushed to her and grabbed her in his arms. He was tall and lean, not as bulky as Hal, but strong. As he held her tightly, the strength of his slender frame surprised her. She was only partly conscious of the happy kitten noises she made as she melted into his embrace.
"Thank God you're alright," he whispered into her ear, his lips brushing her sensitive skin in the perfect way. "I thought he would-- you were so brave. Stronger than I ever imagined…"
"Don't worry about me," she said, letting their cheeks press together. "I'm just glad you're alright. When we got here you looked so-- so hurt. I was terrified…"
"But you didn't stop," he smiled, cupping her face in one hand. "That's what Green Lanterns do, Jen. We ignore fear and turn it into strength. There's no such thing as being fearless, there's only the ability to overcome your fear. And you did."
"I did, didn't I?" she coyly smiled, laughing a little. They looked long into each others eyes before their lips met, and the kiss that followed was like the first gulp of water after being lost in a desert.
"Get a room, will ya?" Hal laughed, though the teasing chuckle turned into a cough half-way through. He straightened his posture, stretching his back as a wave of green light swept his body and mended his torn and grimy costume.
It reminded Jade that both she and Pteran were in similar states, their uniforms tattered to the point that large portions of skin were covered only by a sheen of sweat. Apparently Pteran was remembering the same thing, because his eyes were roaming her body the same way she was his. Neither of them chose to repair their suits just yet.
"You enjoy your nap?" Ryde asked jokingly. "We finished off Evil Star for you while you caught up on your beauty sleep."
"You ever hear of creating a diversion?" Hal asked earnestly, a mock-insulted look on his face. "Star and I have a history, so I used it to keep him focused on me so you two could get into position. Then I was just playing possum to test the kid and see how she'd do. Trust me, if you two were in any real danger, I'd have jumped right back into it and pulled your butts out of the fire."
"Right, Hal," Jade laughed. "Sure you would have."
"Well, call it in Ryde," Hal said looking over at Evil Star's beaten body. "We'll want a clean-up crew to cart this trash off to a sciencell. You should be looking for Arisia, too-- make sure she's alright."
"Maybe you oughtta take that one, Jordan," Ryde smirked. "I think 'Reesh would rather have you do the rescuing."
"What?"
"Oh, come on Hal," Jade smiled. "Like you haven't noticed the way she follows you around like a lost puppy. God, she's worse than G'nort!"
"She-- you mean--" His face was pure Hal. Clueless while trying not to look clueless, in that way only he could do. "Aw, great… Alright, I'll go get her, wherever she is." As he lifted off, he turned and pointed a finger at the embracing couple. "You two owe me, got it? And Jade - you get back to Oa by oh-eight hundred tomorrow, and not an hour later. I'm not covering for you with Katma."
"Isn't he cute when he gets all military?" Jade snickered as he flew away. Then she saw a look flash over Pteran's face and she pulled his cheeks in for another kiss. "Not cute like you, though, you nut…"
_________________________________________
She had been dreaming of a savior. She had seen his face so clearly, and for the first time in her life she hadn't been nervous or afraid. She had no doubts about herself, and reached out for him with a confidence she'd never felt before. He smiled at her, and she smiled back. He knew how she felt; of course he did! How couldn't he? But now, amazingly, she knew he felt the same way. She had been attacked and had fallen, and he came to save her.
His kiss was electric, and she swooned. Finally, she was free to feel what she felt without being ashamed or embarrassed. She wasn't a little girl - she was a Green Lantern. Her head was foggy and she felt light. And then her head started to throb and she knew something was wrong. Everything was all fuzzy and she hurt all over.
"Arisia?"
A voice was calling from far away, and she felt her love slipping from her hands as something strong and real grabbed her by the shoulders.
"Come on, kid-- wake up."
Her eyes opened slowly to a vasoline-smeared world. She blinked the bleariness away and things started to come into focus. It had all been a dream. Well… not all of it. She really had been beaten into unconsciousness by that big armored jerk and his toadies. But the love of her life hadn't rescued her. And worst of all, they hadn't kissed. Nothing! She just got beat up like a first-year junior Corpsman and left for dead while Pteran no doubt took all the glory (like always).
"You alright, girl? You look like you've been through a tenderizer," a voice asked. It was a smooth baritone with just a slight edge at the corners and a sort of mischief to its cadence. She knew it immediately. Hal had come for her!
She looked up into his face and saw that roguish half-smile that made her melt. He was holding her in his arms, lifting her up from the rubble pile she'd blacked out in, and the feel of his hand under her back sent tingles over her skin and a warm hum down her spine. She had that wonderful, funny feeling in all of her… parts. Hal had come! He really had! Maybe her dream wasn't just a dream, but some kind of premonition. That happened, right? Of course it did!
"Gods, I love you so much," she said, slipping her arms around his neck and bringing her lips to his.
It wasn't a kiss. Not really. Oh, she'd wanted it to be one, but it never got the chance. One minute she was seconds from heaven, the next she was back on her butt in the rubble.
"What the hell was that, Arisia?!" Hal exclaimed, stepping back like she'd tried to bite him.
"It was…"
What? What was it? She wanted to tell him how she felt; about all the nights she'd spent up late reading stories about him, and how she'd watched every holovid Oa had with him in it. The way she felt the first time she ever met him, and how she worked so hard every day since to be the best Lantern she could, just so he would see that she wasn't just some stupid little girl with a stupid little crush. She wanted to tell him how her heart hurt just being around him, and how when he smiled at her she felt cotton-candy bubbles burst in her brain. She had tried so hard to get to know him personally, and everything she'd learned made her fall harder.
She loved him. She knew she did. He was everything she'd ever wanted. And now, lying on her bruised butt in a pile of dirty rocks, looking at the confusion and alarm on his face, she felt like crying and running and never stopping to look back. She wanted to disappear completely, she was so dumb. How could she think he would feel the same way she did?
It was a dream.
"…that's all it was…"
"That's all what was? What's all it was? What were you thinking?" he asked, his voice rising in pitch. Man, he really wasn't helping her feel less horrible about this…
"I wasn't-- I mean, thinking. Thinking wasn't. I wasn't-- like, I wasn't thinking. I just was-- I was dreaming, I think. Or don't think. And you were so… you were so you, and I'm just a stupid girl and, like, so stupid… Gods, I can't believe I was so stupid to--"
"Whoa, whoa, calm down," Hal said, starting to soften as her big eyes welled with tears that she was fighting a desperate losing battle to contain. He knelt down beside her, and she covered her face with dirty hands. "Hey, kid, come on… Arisia, don't do that."
"Don't do what?" she said, her voice wavering like riding over a bumpy road. "Don't be so stupid? I can't seem to stop that, H-Hal. I-I just thought it was something, b-- but it wasn't, is all. I'm j-just a big, tiny, dumb, stupid!"
"Aw, for-- come on, Reesh," Hal said, taking her hands away from her face. "Calm down, okay? I'm not mad, you just surprised me is all. Surprised me a lot. I shouldn't have dropped you like that, but it wasn't out of anger or anything."
She just looked at him. Her eyes were so big and round, and so wet that they sparkled like gems. She was almost sixteen, but she knew she looked younger in the face. It was her big dumb cheeks! They made her too round, and now Hal was looking at her Ch'p cheeks and thinking she was a baby!
"I'm not just some little girl, y'know," she sniffled, wiping her eye with the back of her hand and smudging soot on her cheek. "I'm a Green Lantern. Just like you. An' I'm practically grown up, an' I'm totally one of the best Lanterns of my rank-- I was the youngest ever, y'know! So-- so, if I feel certain ways… it's not fake. I can feel things. Like, real things. About stuff."
"I know, Reesh," Hal smiled. She was mad that she couldn't stop the thrill from running through her. "I remember what it was like to be sixteen and have your whole life ahead of you. I also remember how p!ssed off I got when adults talked down to me about my attitude or the feelings I had about things."
He totally understood her.
"But I also remember how emotional I was," he chided. "Man, when I was a teenager, everything that happened in my life was like the end of the world. All those hormones raging through a body not built to control them, and I was probably worse than most. I can't imagine adding the responsibility of the ring to that load."
"Yeah," she said. "It's hard. But if the Guardians think I'm mature enough to do my job, then--"
"It isn't about maturity, Reesh. And it isn't about you. Hell, kid, if I was twenty years younger… or you were five or six years older… You'd be a real catch for any guy lucky enough to win you. But it ought to be somebody your own age. A friend, a companion, somebody who's going through the same stuff you are. You don't need some old jet-jockey with too little patience and too many miles of bad road behind him, no matter how great he may be."
She laughed with him, and she thought their voices mingled nicely together. It was a musical sound. She blew her bangs out of her face, and when they refused to obey she pushed them back with both hands.
"Who is there my age that I could ever relate to?" she asked. "I mean, like, what boy at 15-almost-16 has gone through what I have? Has seen what I've seen? And, c'mon-- who could keep up with me?"
"I don't know, kid, I've seen some pretty tough boys in my day. Some friends of mine have sidekicks of their own - like a Lantern's second - that could probably run at your pace."
"Do they make all Earth boys like you?" she asked, trying to smile her most winning, radiant smile at him.
"Hell, no," he said without missing a beat, perfectly confident that that was true. "I'm the only Hal Jordan there is. But some of those other guys aren't so bad."
She stood when he did and tested her legs. She was gonna need some serious rack time after this to get herself back in tip-top, but it wasn't all that bad. Bruises, maybe a sprain in her wrist, but the docs on Oa could fix her right up. She sent a pulse through her ring to mend and clean her costume, and in a moment she looked none the worse for wear. Let him see her at her best, she thought. No reason to look all ratty and beat up while he was around. She'd collapse and sleep for days only when he was gone.
"Are we still okay?" she asked timidly.
"Sure we are," he said, putting out a hand. She shook it, forcing herself not to linger with her hand in his. Then they parted and he was gone.
She had thought she was done crying, but apparently she was wrong.
