Yeah, the new Marvel boy vs Skrulls would be cool... oh wait that happened in New Avengers right? The mega event shouldn't be outshined by the tie ins.

Did the dinosaur talk? Did it have lasers? Let's up the ante here. Dinos in and of themselves aren't awesome. Devil Dinosaur is awesome, and it would have been cool if he ran through the fight, but as it stands a big dino that Thor/Ares/Iron Man could have taken out with minimal effort isn't that exciting.

Alien Viruses have been lame since Jeff Goldblum stopped an invasion with a mac.

Bobbi is dead. I'll probably ignore any retcons unless they're good.

You say this like you're shocked. I'm not. After issue #1 is was pretty clear that this whole "event" was going to be horrible. A couple of strategically placed Skrulls pulling the strings would have been cool. It could have been a suspensefull "whodunnit". When dang near everybody is a Skrull, that's as insane as it is inane. Before any big events at Marvel are going to be any good again, two things must happen:

1 - Marvel must take the keys to the kingdom back from Bendis and he should go back to telling smaller black and white stories again. That's what he's actually kind of good at.

2 - Joey Q. needs to quit being EIC and just go back to doing art because that's what he was sort of good at.

What you have now at Marvel is nothing short of the perfect case study of the Peter Principle in all of its glory. And that, my friends, spells trouble for anyone who actually likes to read good comics.

Be like me. Quit buying Marvel until both Bendis and Joey Q are gone. You'll be much happier and you'll have more money to boot.
