If you encounter resistence to an endeavor you are undertaking in a new environment, lashing out against those resisting it is not going to help your cause. In fact, those questioning the validity of what you are doing are potentially future supporters -- at least they care enough to post.
Again, though, welcome and good luck.
I would say this also to people who are potentially interested in your game (Heroclix for example) but are now turned off to it because of the way the No. 1 forum on the internet for it treats them (or myself in this case.)
Thank you Jack and others who have been understanding.

You like this because you're part of the podcast and you like Vs.
I neither like Vs. nor am I part of the podcast.
If you or someone else wants to make a 20-40 minute podcast about Heroclix I'm all for it and think it should be on the front page of the HCrealms and I'll probably listen to them but there's nothing at all of interest to me in your podcast and if a general poster were to post this kind of content it would be shipped to "other realm" status within an hour.
Heck, they didn't even let the comics podcast by realmworx stay on the front page after, maybe the first two, so why should something like this be allowed on the front page of HCrealms?
"Come on Hulk! Where's the old boasting? The battle cries? Why aren't you bellowing about how you're 'the strongest one there is'? Could it be because... you know it's not true?"
"No. Because it's just too obvious."

This echoes how I feel. This is the best 'clix site on the net (sure beats the wizkids site that's for sure) and people who have spent years here have a hard time seeing non-clix related content put on the main page because it breaks a user rule. It's a dilution that many will find unappealing. Again, I think Jack is right. Keep it cool and put some 'clix content in and people will be happy. Maybe they'll even learn something about a new game.
All constructive criticism is actively sought and welcomed, although I don't understand this entrenched mentality.
This show is produced by Realmworx and Realmworx community members. It is covering subject matter that this website already supports. It is not preventing any of the superb front-page content you regularly enjoy from being posted. It is not taking anyone's slot. None of your regular contributors (which now includes us) are in anyway losing out. You will not be "subjected" to other-game specfic content on this sites front page.
Are you honestly that put out that you may have to click your mouse one more time to view another HC related story?
If you don't like the content, that's fine. If you're not interested in listening to the content, then don't.
When the full community merger happens, each game and podcast will have it's own specific area, but until that time, the show will be posted on the front page as we try to increase awareness for Realms Radio and bring the show to a new audience. We've not experienced this sort of "it's our site, leave us alone" mentality from any of the other communities we've posted on. Most have been very welcoming. I hope we can reach that point with you guys here as well.
The only problem I'm having with it is that iTunes won't let me listen to it. It says it's not available in America. I'd love to hear it, I'm always looking for a new podcast for my iPod so I can have some background noise at work.
You have my interest, give me a way to get it on my american iPod.
10-2-08 I just put a bunch of stuff on eBay including a numbered Super Skrull Illuminati and a CoG Galactus. Check it out.

Once again, this podcast has absolutely nothing to do with Vs. System.

This goes on the front page because Typhon - the owner of this site and realmworx - wants it to. I amcurrently working towards getting people together to do a HC podcast.

A lot of exsisting fans enjoy the current length, but I understand how that is a barrier to some. What would you think to the overall length remaining the same, but perhaps it's broken down into 3 / 4 smaller sized files, with a descrition of what is in each "part"? That way people can download just one part that interests them or the entire show if they so desire?

I'm going to be honest with you guys. I was apprehensive about bringing this here. The last time I posted on this part of the Realmworx community, I was asking what happened to the comic podcast. I received a rather harsh PM from a member called Doom(something) stating
"Why don't you just **** off back to VSRealms. We don't want you lot here."
I hope that mentality isn't the reason why some people wont even consider giving us a chance, after all, we just want to be friends. Anyone want a hug? I'm feeling all huggy.
freakazoid_x, if you follow these instructions, I think it will help.

This also works in the Zune software, which is what I use. I think the issue maybe because Kamiza is in the UK, some of the links may not work right. If you just go in ITunes and search "checkmate arcade" the feed for the podcast shows up in the search results also.

the areas for discussion are endless.
I've started a thread in general discussion to get just this sort of feedback regarding a potential HC podcast. Cheers.
I think realms memebers activily supporting each other is always a good thing. I'm sure there are details that can be worked out, but I don't see how this would be much of a negative impact to any of the communties. In time I think this could turn out to be a lot of fun.
If anyone wants to head up a clix show with me, or themselves and a buddy feel free to PM Kamiza or myself.
Yup. If your site being invaded by non-hc content wasn't bad enough, now you're being invaded by a "limey"!
"The British are coming, The British are coming!"
I KNEW there was something fishy about you...
Oh, also, I'm sorry for assuming there's a bunch of Vs. related contents. It was fairly easy to assume there'd be atleast one section dedicated to it as the picture for your podcast features Vs. card art and the podcast episode is titled "mulligan", which is generally associated with card games.

Thank you for reading the show notes and/or listening. We usually name the episode after something that was discussed and since it was our second time recording the show because of the technical problem, plus EA adding mulligans (which is also a sports term) into at least Madden and maybe all of their sports games, that became the title of the show.
My first post describes how the name and catchphrase of the show came into being. Thanks again!
I'm all for it being there, but it would be nice if it were maybe sectioned into more digestible tidbits, rather than one enormous talk session. I wanted to hear the bit about Dragon Quest, but was unable to randomly find it, just clicking around through the bar, and didn't want to hear it badly enough to sit through the rest of it.
