Page 13, under the Object rules. (I'm only viewing it as a pdf, so I'm not able to copy and paste from that. I'm not going to retype it. The critical difference is under "immobile objects."
No need to; I'll go look.
edit: cool, cool, makes sense for those immobile objects...they're like terrain features and should be leaving something behind when destroyed.
Are you a PbP'r (Play By Poster)? Come and check out www.creationmatrix.com; we've got EVERYTHING.
Outwit: Can now be used on 'abilities' such as fliers ability to Carry or Fly, Giant's size, etc.
(Emphasis mine.) A Giant's size can't be Outwitted. You can't just turn an opposing giant into a normal-sized piece. What can be Outwitted is Giant Stride, which would be his ability to move past opposing pieces, ignore hindering, elevated and outdoor blocking terrain, only failing to break away on a 1 or 2, and to use the Carry ability.
Appreciate this thread, I'm probably not going to pick up the new starter for a little while (have to save up for Secret Invasion), so it's nice to have a brief synopsis of the changes to use in the meantime.
If Archenemies are gone what does Alpha Strike do?
Seems like it should still work, AFAIK. Maybe it would require a FAQ or errata to have the arch enemy rules listed there (since it won't be in the rulebook). The reprinted Vendetta, for example, shows you can have the arch enemy mechanic remain in the game for the purpose of a specific card.
Matter-EaterLad Snack List: Time Gem, Remaker
Etrigan Prime Transformation List: Blackhawk Pilot, Per Degaton
Another item to be corrected from the OP: (Emphasis mine.) A Giant's size can't be Outwitted. You can't just turn an opposing giant into a normal-sized piece. Hmm...you're right- I missed that particular abilities sentence which says "This ability cannot be countered or cancelled." Silly that all of the other abilities can be except for that one.
Christ did not come to condemn the world, but to save it.
I've read this thread and see where people note that TK'ing giants has been confirmed, but I'm not sure why. I'm new to the game and these boards so any help would be appreciated.
On the new PAC card it says that a character with the damage symbol can be TK'd - but don't giants still have the damage symbol?
TELEKINESIS...(1) Move an Opposing Character: This character makes one close combat or ranged combat attack that deals no damage. If the attack succeeds and the target has or possesses the damage symbol (but is not a double-base figure), move the target up to 8 squares so long as it ends its movement 8 or fewer squares from this character.
Thanks for help clarifying this, I'm sure I'm misreading or missing something in the thread.
