I used to teach into level biology and anatomy/physiology to college freshmen, but since I finished my Masters and have started on a Ph.D. in a new department, the administrative types are resistant to cross-departmental teaching.

Anywho... I've never actually used that particular cop out when teaching in class. I find it is usually much more effective to tell your students, "I am not sure, let's look it up and find out!" I am glad that it amused you so
