You just knew I was going to be the one to answer that, didn't you?
Anti-Venom, so far, is... well, basically, he's Venom. It's Eddie Brock underneath, doing the exact same things he could do as Venom. But instead of trying to kill and eat the people he feels are evil or wicked, he's trying to "cure" them of what makes them that way. Like trying to cure Gargan of the symbiote, or trying to cure Spidey of the symbiote remnants or his irradiated blood.
It's only been the one issue so far, but so far it's just classic Venom attacking from a different angle.
Also the fact that he isn't powered by the Symbiote.
Well, at least I'm pretty sure he's not(Pretty sure it's Mr. Negative powering him.)

Keeping in mind that Brock had at least two symbiotes within him previously. The original and then the cloned one from a few years back. And I can't recall, but didn't he also take over the Carnage one for a short while there? And I don't mean the time Eddie's symbiote gave birth.
Well, X-men: Manifest Destiny was something of a disappointment.
I am a huge Iceman fan, and a huge Mystique fan, but the story was really too brief to make a whole lot of sense. I like that they're referring back to the incident between them in MC, that was cool, but this happened so fast - and for no discernible reason; it was just kind of weird.
The Boom-Boom story was stupid. A waste of paper and ink, and the strange part is that Marvel apparently knew it (It ended with "Never to be continued....")
The Karma story.... meh. Every once in a while she pops up in random appearances, and it seems like its always the same thing... afraid to use powers, raising brother and sister, etc. etc. Maybe if she'd stick around for more than an issue or two they wouldn't have to re-tell her story every time?

Yeah I hear you cattmoe, this is nothing like legacy.
I understand what they are doing to Iceman. I have a feeling hes going to finally be as powerful as he was said to be like 20 years ago. The only thing that really bothered me is that reports said that Iceman was missing for a week and the X-men didn't even bother to go look for him....Kinda like how they did psylocke. For a tight knit family they don't really care about their members when they go "missing". Also I guess Mystique is alive afterall!! woot!!
Boom-Boom was silly. I guess it was more for the nextwave fans or something.
Karma is pretty lame. Iguess they're developing her since she may be the key way to defeat RedQueen or something.....White Queen should develop the cuckoos more in my opinion.
Ha Orin, I indeed knew you'd answer the question! with all the Spider-hate lately you're the only way of keeping us who don't read up to par!! Thank you I say fine sir!

Nothing wrong with old stories. They give one background information on the characters.
Can't argue about that. Not every char was well written or drawn, so I can understand that. I just mean golden age comics in general.
yah, my first thought was...reprints...huh...ok not so cool...but maybe theres a reason....lets give it a try...well i think there WAS a reason...cashing in on the success of the twelve
i dont hold any rancor for golden age comics....just lousy ones
