"Clowns are supposed to be happy things, bringing joy to children's faces. For your punishment, you travesty, I'll send you to infernal places!" the Demon rhymed, hitting the Joker with an end table.
"Ooh," the Joker groaned. "Can we table this discussion?"
"That was a terrible pun," the Creeper said. "I wish I'd said it. Instead I'll just, I don't know, pull your ears off." He jumped on the Joker's back and pulled at the villains ears. The villain fought against him, thrashing in pain until he ended up hitting his head against the wall, knocking himself out cold.
"Good work," Batman said. "With the Joker out of the way, I can focus on you Mephisto."
"You think to intimidate me?" Mephisto scoffed.
"No, I think to beat you," Batman said hitting the demon with his supernatural strength.
Wow, two good hits already? I've barely been able to tickle the Creeper. And Mephisto is proving that even with ss and a highish dv he really is 'meh' in all ways possible.
Character roll : 3. Mystery roll: 1. It's the door thing, not relevant.
Enter Dark Beast with nanobots. He'll go for Batman. Needs 5, rolls 9. I'll chance a bcf roll: 3. Meh. Still better than his normal damage. 3 to Batman.
Goblin outwits Creeper's shape change.
Psimon tks Grim Reaper to L6.
Reaper on Creeper. He'll up his damage to 3. Needs 6 + 1, rolls 11. Now you're down 1.
Beast outwits Demon's charge, just for the heck of it.
"The Grim Reaper meets the Creeper? Comical, isn't it? It's a shame you won't be able to appreciate it." The Grim Reaper slaps the Creeper with his sythe. He falls face first to the ground.
"Excellent. That means I can concentrate on you. Batman with fangs? That's not the Batman I know of," the Dark Beast says.
"You're not the Beast I know about either. The world evolves, get used to it."
"Smart man, trying to block me already. Sadly my attack on you is already done. I've touched you with a pinprick of a powerful poison. You'll be weak and vomit in seconds. Loss of concentration follows...It's not lethal sadly, but you'll surely not be as sharp." The Dark Beast then laughs loudly.
"He's so mad-scientist, isn't he?" the Green Goblin turns to the Demon and then laughs maniacally.
With Osborne in L8 and Mephisto in K8, I don't see anyway you can get the Grim Reaper to anywhere he can target the Creeper. In L9, the Creeper's pretty much surrounded already.
Character Roll 1. Dr. Fate. Event #3. Attacked by Ghosts. Fate and everyone within 4 squares is attacked to Incap. That's a lot of folks. I did say Defensive powers don't work, so Fate can't Defend his allies. Ghost's AV is 9 against:
DV10: Batman
DV15: Creeper
DV16: Zatanna, Mento
DV17: Dr. Fate, Dark Beast, The Demon
Rolls a 5. Only Batman would take a token, and he already had two. So another event becomes a non-event.
Dr. Fate will cast a spell destroying the wall in K9/K10

The fight was momentarily interrupted by a third force of spectral beings that rose up through the floor and dove at the heroes and villains.
"They don't want us here," Mento explained.
"In expressing their dislike of us they're surely being bold, but I'd just as soon be in Vegas, if the truth be told," the Demon shrugged.
"I can protect us from the ghosts," Fate said, putting up shields around his allies that stopped the spirits. "They are but a distraction."
"Some distraction," the Creeper complained as one particularly ugly one shrieked at him, inches away from his face.
"Zatanna, the Dark Beast, can you...?" Dr. Fate said, casting a spell to make the wall that separated the villain from them disappear.
"I can," Zatanna said. "Kcatta, erutinruf!" she entoned. End tables flew across the room at the Dark Beast.
"An excellent attempt," the evil Beast said, "But futile." He batted the furniture away with his nimble feet before it could hit him, and actually managed aim them well enough to clip Zatanna with one of the deflected tables.
Character roll: 5. Mephisto. Event roll: 3. Seems we're duping a lot of late. Sadly this move could hurt most of my figures. Ghost's roll is 8. Anyone within 4 squares not having a dv of 18 of higher is effected.
A token goes to: Grim Reaper, Batman, Demon, Creeper, Mephisto, Norman Osborn.
A token and pushing click goes to Dark Beast.
Ironic, isn't it? One simple move does more damage to me than your whole last turn?

Now to the problem of Catwoman. The problem is, just what the heck do I do with her? Like the other versions, this one is lacking. I love the price and bcf but she's really limited, especially that first click. Still, love the character and I'll....hmmmm, still can't see anything to do with her. I guess she's stay put. Again.
That event was tricky, it didn't hurt much but sort of froze me up this turn and into next...
"Alright, little kitty, " Catwoman says to herself, "How about we take our cute little butt over to where all the action is." She then hears screams and yells of surprise that she recognizes coming from both teams.
"Then again, maybe not just yet," she adds.
"Ghosts? How do I fight ghosts?" the Dark Beast asks as a spirit runs through him.
"You're a waste, Beast," Grim Reaper says.
Dr. Fate turns to Zatanna, "It seems that the ghosts have found another room to haunt."
"Yes," Z replies, "And it sounds like they're having a bit more success riling things up in there, judging by the sounds."
Character roll is 3 - Batman. Event roll is 1. Well the nearest door is L9/10, which might have made a difference, cutting off the Demon, except for the big hole that Dr. Fate blew in the wall next to that spot.
Problem is that those guys I didn't move last turn got hit by ghosts, so every single one of my guys are tokened.
What the heck though. I'll push Creeper anyway to attack Norman. AV8 on DV15. Gets 5. Pushes for nothing.

"Ghosts or no ghosts, I'm hunting goblin, hee hee...YIKES!" the Creeper jumped a mile as the door behind him suddenly slammed shut, whacking him on the behind. Unfortunately, it also spoiled the moment and he lost the opening to attack.
Norman still can't absorb the HO. He has to be the only character adjacent to it. Opposing, friendly, doesn't matter.
Let's see, I suppose I should bring in my replacement before I roll, to make there be six characters in it for the roll. With so many close combat options, let's make it Wildcat. With maneuver.
Character roll is 3, Batman. 5 Possessed. That'd be cool if he had the AV to hit anyone at this point. Well, I'll try for Mephisto, he'd be the easiest. AV6 on DV15. Gets 11. Incredible. Super Senses is 5. I knew it. Too good to be true. Ah well, on to the meat of the turn.
Wildcat on Green Goblin, AV11 on DV15. Gets 5. Good enough for 4 to Norman. Puts him on his last click,
Batman will go for Mephisto again, AV6 on DV15. Gets 3. Glad I didn't waste that on one of my better guys.
Demon on Dark Beast. AV10 on DV17. He gets 3. Rerolls for Fate. Gets 5. Man, where are the carp rolls coming from?
Zatanna Outwitting Dark Beast's Super Senses, attacks him. AV10 on DV17 +1. Gets 3. Oh for crying out loud.
Dr. Fate targets the Dark Beast. AV9 on DV17 +1. Gets 9. About time. 3 to Dark Beast.
