Well you can't expect to come out of something like this without some injuries.

Thanks a lot for the game! I am surpried that it turned out as well as it did. I was expecting to get mangled. Those high and some admitedly bad luck on your part kept my team in the running. What team are you looking to run when you have enough games under your belt?

No problem, and yeah I thought this would be pretty close too, especially with the ranged Super Senses bonus... Heh, without those it would've been even more one-sided.
I'm a returning player (I used to run the FF) so I'm not entirely sure if I have to make it through the trial period again or not, but I'm going to be picking up Young Justice when the time comes.
Hye! I forgot! I even played you when you were the FF. I took the Baron Mordo hydra team against you when I didn't realize how tough a character he was. I am surprised that you would choose to start a new team rather than pick back up where you left off. I would assume that there wouldn't be a trial period for you, but hey I don't make the rules for this sandbox.
The new rules also give my team some advantages that not many people exploit (but I have to!). I am just hoping for An Indomitable version of Kilowog!

"Drive them back!" Kilowog roared, meeting the charge of a snarling Yellow Lantern head on. The clash of their rings exploded in gold and emerald energy, shining light so brilliantly that the whole field was illuminated. Hal couldn't see the fight, or what happened to the big alien behemoth, but when the Yellow Lantern emerged and Kilowog didn't…
The press of bodies in space, lit in green and yellow, constructs slamming together in wild collisions. Faces flashed, deeply shadowed from the harsh lights all around. Ships dove and sprayed the whole field with scattershots of electricity before being pierced and destroyed in fiery conflagrations. Oa was surrounded by war, and the Green Lanterns held their ground.
Hal's shields held against an onslaught of force, but he could see the tiny streaks of light as green and yellow rings sped off into space, searching for new owners. The battle with the Manhunters had been bad, but this was different. He'd been a Lantern for years - it felt like a lifetime - but he'd never seen so many of his comrades dying around him. He'd never even known of a battle in that time that had caused this much death.
Tomar raced past him, his ring cutting through a starfighter as he went. The kid looked terrified.
No being is truly fearless, Ganthet had said. But what did he mean? Were they supposed to make the Yellow Lanterns afraid? Or be afraid themselves? Why was that little b#stard so cryptic? he thought, gritting his teeth and pushing back against the tide. His ring had beaten yellow shields a few times in this fight - it would just have to do it again.
Of course, there are always ways to get around the yellow, he thought, striking on a new plan. He reached out with his ring and grabbed a chunk of shrapnel from a destroyed ship. He compressed it in a ball and focused on his opponent. Without worrying about precision, he started shearing off javelin-sized shards of metal and shooting them from the green ball. The Yellow Lantern shielded himself, but Hal just kept compressing, shredding and launching. The faster he went, the more ragged the other man's shield became until he was at last overwhelmed and pierced by the metal. Hal was careful not to kill him - just take him out of the fight.
He wondered why he held on to the distinction so tightly at a time like this, as more empty rings soared around him and into space. Each trail of green was another of his brothers, his teammates, his family that had been slaughtered by these monsters. Each trail was heading out in search of a new soul to fight the endless war with the dark, unaware of the horrors that might wait for them in that abyss. The Yellow Lanterns were here to kill them all. Why, then, was he holding himself back? What soldier went into a war unwilling to shoot his enemies down to protect his life, the life of his brothers, and the lives of the people he was there to protect?
Another Yellow b#stard had caught Tomar. A field of golden fire wrapped around the young alien - the son of one of Hal's oldest friends in the Corps. The bile-yellow flames twisted into creatures from a nightmare, and Hal could feel Tomar's panic through his ring. It was pure fear.
No being is truly fearless…
It changed suddenly from fear to desperation to a strange calm. The yellow constructs erupted in a shower of green sparks. Tomar burst free and charged his assailant, who was clearly unready for the sudden turn of the tables. Focused and intent but without anger, Tomar swiped his hand in an arc and a green blade curved out from the tips of his fingers to slash across his enemy's abdomen. Spinning to lash out with his back-hand, Tomar sent another spike of green that this time severed the beast-man's ring-finger from his clawed hand.
The beast howled silently, but Tomar focused on containing his ring. The fight was over, and Hal was surprised at the kid's victory. There wasn't time to dwell on it, though-- more Yellow Lanterns were pouring in and the Qwardians were relentless in their fighters. The battle was only just beginning.
"Jordan!" a voice cut through his head like a ragged blade. He turned toward it, knowing what he would see.
"Sinestro," he frowned as the ruby-skinned Lantern flew toward him. He had to shake off his initial reservations; this was not the man he called friend. It was his body, his voice, but the man inside had been killed by a traitor and a murderer and Sinestro was all that remained of him.
"I'm actually glad none of my soldiers killed you yet," Sinestro said, no trace of joy in his voice. "You owe me for your betrayal."
"I don't know, Sinestro," Hal said, taking a ready stance. "At this point I'd say we're even on that score."
"I should have known it would one day come to this. Battle between us was inevitable - you and I were the finest of the Corps. Sad that you never rose to the levels of your predecessor, though. Abin Sur was my equal. You are merely my student, and it's time for your final lesson."
Hal thought about offering him a last chance at redemption-- a chance to turn from this path and help them undo what he'd done. In the end, though, he just frowned and charged into the fight. There was nothing left to say.
Sin'nus Roe was dead.

"What are we waiting for?" Katma asked as she, G'nort and Ganthet floated in space, far from the battle surrounding Oa. She felt almost helpless, drifting here in silence while her friends and companions fought and died on a battlefield so far away that she couldn't even feel their presence through the ring.
"The final members of your party," Ganthet said. "They will arrive soon, and only then can you cross into Qward."
"Don't worry, Kat-kat," G'nort said. "It's gonna be okay."
"I'm still not okay with what you did," she said, arms crossed. "We trusted you and you were spying on us the whole time."
"I was just doing what I was s'posed to…"
"A lot of people have used that excuse. Following orders doesn't change the fact that I can't trust you anymore. I'd rather that you keep to yourself for the time being - I'm not interested in discussing the matter any further."
G'nort just hung his head and sighed, tail curled between his legs. Looking at him, she was moved by how pitiful he was. She felt sorry for him, but not sorry enough to let him off the hook for betraying her confidence to the Guardians. If they had known what he had been told about Jennifer, the traitor and the plot against the Corps then maybe this whole mess could have been avoided. Maybe they wouldn't be about to charge into a hellish nightmare-universe to rescue a young woman from a power great enough to make the immortal Guardians fear for their lives.
"Ah," Ganthet said. "Our party has arrived."
A distant light flickered and grew, breaking into two as it became visible as twin tails of Green Lanterns coming their way. When they arrived, though, they were no Corpsmen Katma Tui had ever encountered.
"Where is my daughter?" the older of the two said. He was tall and broad-shouldered in the kind of almost-exaggerated heroic proportion that humans seemed to favor. He dressed in muted colors that would have been garish if they were brighter, but the faded red of his shirt, the deeper green of his slacks, the midnight-violet cape with the yellow-green lining that almost glowed from within - it made him feel almost antique in a way that assured experience and ability instead of simply being old and outmoded.
On his chest was an emblem so very like the symbol of the Green Lanterns, and the energy field around him would have been identical to hers if it weren't composed of flickering flames. And there was no ring on his hand.
"Katma Tui," Ganthet spoke, "this is Alan Scott. Once the bearer of the lost ring of Yalan Gur, and the father of Jennifer Hayden."
"You haven't answered me, Guardian," Alan said. "My daughter is in grave danger, and she called to me for help. That call led me here."
"Yes, that bit of deception was mine," Ganthet said, folding his hands behind his back. "Where Jennifer has found herself, she cannot reach us no matter how dire her circumstance. Her captor has seen to that. I was the one who sent you the vision you followed here."
"What game are you playing? Are you saying Jenny's life is in danger? What are you at, Guardian…"
"You may call me Ganthet. And this is no game, I assure you. Your daughter, Mr. Scott, is the Starheart. The first being born physically attuned to the source of power from which we Guardians draw to give energy to our Green Lanterns. It had long been prophesied, but my brothers ignored the possibility and we are now paying the price for our lack of vision."
"Uh, hey," the younger man that had come with Alan said, reaching a hand out to Katma in greeting. She shook it, taking in his obvious nervousness and noting the ring on his finger. "I'm Kyle. Rayner-- Kyle Rayner."
"Katma Tui, Green Lantern Prime of sector 1417. How is it that you have a ring? There are only two human Green Lanterns in the Corps…"
"Yeah-- kind of a long story," he said with a half-smile. "It used to be Alan's, then the Guardians had it, but it escaped and found me." He let out a short laugh. "Guess it wasn't that long of a story after all, huh?"
"An ancient and powerful evil has taken the Starheart to steal her power," Ganthet continued explaining to Alan. "He believes that he can make her abilities his own, and I assure you his methods are anything but humane. Where he is, my power cannot find him. The anti-matter universe is every bit as broad and wide as our own, and though I can open a doorway briefly to that other plane, we do not have the time to search an entire universe for one soul.
"But your power is like hers. As is your ring - it is different from the rest of ours. We had been attempting to study it while in our possession, but the distraction of the traitor in our midst slowed progress. I allowed it to escape and find a new bearer believing that this eventuality was now inevitable and we would need you and your unique connection to the Source and the Starheart to find her and prevent our foe from succeeding."
"So you open the door and Kyle and I can home in on where in this anti-matter universe she is?"
"Precisely," Ganthet nodded. "There is no time to spare for you to prepare yourselves. You must leave at once."
"You aren't coming?" Katma asked. "If this foe you speak of is as powerful as you say, we'll need your help to stop him."
"In the anti-matter universe I and my brothers are quite powerless," Ganthet sighed. "Were I to cross over in pursuit of my enemy, I would be helpless against him. You must face this alone."
"If that's how we have to do this, then that's how it is," Alan said. "Open your gateway, Ganthet. Jenny needs me."
Drat! I was going to do more of a write up. Oh well.
