View Poll Results: Are you COMPLETELY pleased with Arkham Asylum?
I gotta say that I really like the set but not completely satisfied.
Sure there are figures that we would like to see in the set (Bane, Poison Ivy, and so on) on the other hand though I think that the figures they did put in needed to be made and therefore sacrifices made. I'm sure they will make the ones we miss in the next DC set, right?
I am disappointed that the chase figures are such popular and pervasive characters. The Sinestro Batman is okay as a chase, but regular Batman? I think the super rares are kind of lame as well. Who is "The Top" and what merits that being a super rare. The meat of the set (CUR) is really good, though the white martian smacks of a last minute add in for the batman they made a chase instead!
I wish the chase figures had been Sinestro Batman and Superman Prime and there had been a SR Superman and that no. 1 in the set was Batman. Other than that it is really cool. They could have lost "The Top" and made Despero more like the old one as well...but over all I like this set a lot.
The Top is a Flash villain.... and I tihnk the first one to really cross the line and murder someone.
SR Superman should not have been a Chase.... SR is fine. I do agree about the "normal" Batman chase would have made a great CUR. Maybe a Darkest Night Batman to go along with the Sinestro Corps Batman.
Two thumbs waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay up.
Yes, but you're a surrealist! I'm a normal guy!
Gil Zoo Crew or bust!
I don't think there's really any other answer to your question than to say that, no, we're not completely happy with the set.
Afterall, everyone has some issue with it, no matter how large or small.
.Maybe you're dissapointed that character x wasn't included.
.Maybe you point to certain figs that you think could have been sculpted/statted better.
.Maybe you have some issue with the sets "name" vrs it's actual contents (personally I don't really care what they call it, just what's in it.
.Paint quality?
.Sculpt quality?
.The fact that they named the generics on their cards - Ex: the Gotham Detective IS Crispus Allen.
.The fact that there's once again no poster/map in the case. Or even sent out as retail support.
.The inclusion of chase figs.
.Etc etc etc.
The point is that EVERYBODY has something to complain about if they want to.
And that's no different from any other set that's been released.
So you've asked a question with but one actual answer....
Overall I think AA is at least ok. Sure, it could always be better. But then again it also could've been alot worse.

True. Very very true.

Whoah Whoah Whoah!!!
True, Top maybe did not have to be a SR, but being a Rogue he had to be in this set.
That said I am quite pleased with the character spread in this set.
What I am not pleased about is my lousy pulls. I did not even pull a Jay Garrick, the # 1 for me in this set. My SR's were Sabaac and Saturn Queen. Two I would NEVER play. But that belongs in another thread.
My ONLY gripe is that forgetting about Bane was a huge judgement lapse IMO, especially now that he's on the Secret Six. Gotta have that fig.

Now THAT would be a good idea for a click. At least Batman actually USED Hal's ring in a GL ish shortly after Rebirth. He found it very very difficult to use, so maybe it wouldn't be that effective a piece.
I guess that's why the Sinestro Corps Batman, even though he existed for, like, a page, is pretty effective. Batman finds it much easier to use fear than his will. Although I would imagine after some practice he would become quite capable.

Over all I am actually quite happy with the set. I don't mind the theme of the set being a little off track personally. Themes never really excited me greatly (except for Hammer Of Thor, but thats just cause of Beta Ray Bill). I am glad they expanded the Sinestro Corps and Added more Legion Foes. I think everyone was underwhelmed by Superman(boy) Prime and the Joker. Don't get me wrong, Jokers not a bad figure, but he just isn't what I expected a Joker Dial to be (sculpts awesome).
I do wish they would have remade bane. He really needed it. I think the White Martians were kind of unnecessary, if not because I don't know anything about them, then because it's just them. They have no leader or anything so you just got them and no one to use them with. They're good but boring.
Other than that theres just a lot of general nit-pickery about dials and how powerful some people are and some aren't.
Also has enyone noticed, I don't recall seeing a Duo Figure this time around. With DC Clix propensity towards them I figured there would be one somewhere.
Above all else though, I still don't know why they would make Floronic Man but not Remake Swamp-Thing. I want a Swamp-Thing. All i have right now is an old S-T Sculpt glued to a Monitor base.

If you don't know anything about them, you owe it to yourself to read Morrison's JLA for that reason and many more.

They're saving 'em for Brave and the Bold.

I liked this set a lot; and after first glance and the initial "this isn't so Batman centric, why call it Arkham Asylum?" I noticed that close to a third of the characters are from Gotham or have close Batman ties.
The only real "I'm not happy with" part for me was another Tim Drake Robin. If it was a Dick Grayson (to go with the Batgirl) ok. Jason Todd? Erm. Ok, I guess. Heck, a Stephanie Robin would of been a switch. Instead, we got another TD.
As far as one-panel chase figures? I actually prefer that. E2 Superman played a much bigger role, and I can understand where folks wanted him. A single moment of Batman history in clix form? It's cool (and if I really was into the story, I might of wanted to hunt down) but it isn't a "Make it or break it" for me.
