Dude....you've got the a turns. I've got the b. I keep getting confused and having to go back and check because you keep writing b.
you changed the turn letter but not the name of the team?

I guess I was distracted by you forgetting to change the letter yet again.

(i hear ya, twice now i've expected to get one of guys mangled and got of scott-free. i just hope i can keep this up in my title)
I tend to roll a 6 on average, rather than the usual 7. When I looked at your guys' Defense values, and the fact that they could easily increase those, I had a feeling this game would turn out badly for me. Even without your scenario bonuses, I still wouldn't have hit any attacks yet (but on the plus side Hulk would still have an 11 attack).
Let's see if I can get at least one hit this turn-
Defender-mentals, Turn 6b:
1) Valkyrie will Flurry on Fire. AV of 9 vs DV of 17 +1 for the bonus. Needs a 9. Rolls a 7 (5+2), that's the HO gone. 2nd attack is a 7 as well (5+2).
2) Nighthawk pushes to attack Clayface. Shape Change roll (I think I forgot that last time) is a 2. 9 vs 18 +1. Needs a 10. Rolls a 4 (1+3). Miss.

1) Hulk attacks Water. AV of 9 vs DV of 16 +1. Needs an 8. Rolls an 11! (5+6). Hit for 3 clicks! Yay, I got some IAP. Unfortunately his defense stays the same thanks to CR.
2) Hellcat attacks Fire. AV of 7 vs DV of 17+1 for his bonus. Needs an 11. Ugh. Rolls a 9. Wish I'd done those actions in the other order.

The Hulk picked up a burning branch from the fire he was standing in and leapt behind the earth creature. "Hulk will smash dirt!" But the water creature rose up from the lake behind him and enveloped his head, pulling the Hulk into the lake where he thrashed around angrily trying to breath.
Nighthawk slammed the hunk of rock down on the fire creature, but it simply shifted around it and then retreated to a fire vent nearby. "Foul creature!" Valkyrie cried, and chased after it, running full force into the vent. "Careful Val!" Hellcat cried as she ran to the edge of the vent. She saw Valkyrie viciously trying to strike at the creature inside, but even Dragonfang seemed to have no effect on it. The heat seemed not to bother the Asgardian warrior, but Hellcat got scorched just from her proximity. She tried scooping some water from the nearby lake and throwing it at the creature, but the amount she could throw was too small to bother it.
Meanwhile, the great earth creature lumbered up to Nighthawk. "Great...how am I supposed to fight this?" He wondered aloud. He kicked it, causing clods to fly off it's body, but it simply abosrbed more mass from the ground to replace it. It increased the mass of it's own fists and slammed them down, but with his enhanced agility Kyle easily avoided the blow. "I wish the Doc would hurry up and come through that portal." He muttered.
Meanwhile the Hulk was running out of air as he struggled in the water. With one powerful motion he slammed his fists down on the lakebed, sending the creature flying in all directions. "There. Hulk showed dumb water. Thought it could beat Hulk." But the water started to run back into the lake again, the creature reforming in it's midst.
Christ did not come to condemn the world, but to save it.
It's amazing how much more fun losing is when you write story posts for it. It makes it far more tolerable.
true, and nice stroy post as well.

all the hits so far have been with the target in hindering of one sort or another.
...knock back is still done out of hindering.
Hindering has absolutely 0 effect on knock back. Hindering Terrain affects move actions only. Knock back is stopped by characters and blocking terrain. Seriously, go ask Melkhor
