The Man of Steel unleashed another blast of vision, and this time, the Immortal Man in Darkness was not so lucky. The living fighter jet's airframe barely held together, and he was forced to retreat from the battle.

Obviously, I have to clear for Turn 13, so go ahead and take 2 turns.

Superman strafed the overpass with blasts of heat vision. The civilians had abandoned their vehicles when the battle erupted, but it was not the case that the cars' fuel tanks were empty. It was only a matter of time before the Man of Steel's heat vision ignited one tank.
The explosion was enormous, creating a cloud of fire and smoke. The shock wave knocked both the Celestial Archer and the Accomplished Perfect Physician off their feet. The latter hit the pavement hard, losing consciousness.
The Celestial Archer rose slowly to his feet. He longed to strike back, but his teammate required immediate medical attention. There was no choice, really. He pulled the Physician to safety, watching the Man of Steel fly away, in response to Max Lord's orders.

1. Superman pushes to attack Celestial Archer and APP. 9AV v. 16DV/16DV+1 (hindering). Roll=6,6. :speechles (Sorry about the injury) Hits both. APP is hit for 1 damage, increased to 2 by the crit hit, and is KO'd. Celestial Archer is hit for 3 damage, increased to 4 by the crit hit. He's also knocked back to P-1, where he takes another click for hitting the edge of the map. Supes gets 1 SA and 1 KO and takes 1 click.
The knockback should put Celestial Archer out of range of Superman, and I don't think he has RS or any other power that would let him get into range to make an attack, so unless I'm missing something, that's game.
Again, I'm sorry about the injury. I'm not sure how it works when there's a crit hit and 2 targets, but I believe that only one of the targets is actually injured; I think a random roll by one of the Commissioners determines which one is injured.

Hooray! (As macabre as that is...) If somebody's gotta be hurt, I'm glad it's the guy who's a minimum 61 point investment for a 1 damage output. Leaves my firepower options looking much better in the next round.
