Good day folks. I hope you all enjoyed my article. I am quite happy with how it turned out, but if you disagree then that's okey too. I welcome all view points, so please post your thoughts here!
I am busy working on something a little different for my next article!

dear OP,
let me commend you on yet another superficial article that i whole-heartedly hated. i think it's well established that your picks for the best of (black, african, african descent, aboriginal) heroclix could at best be described as way off.
ps: my pics: V steel, E war machine, SR storm, and let's not forget SR apocalypse (he is egyptian, right?) there's nothing wrong with nick fury.

Well that seems uncalled for and contributes very little to an article..
Why do you like those particular pieces? What makes them better than his picks, why was his opinion wrong in your opinion?

let me commend you on a superficial post that i whole-heartedly hated. I think its well established that youre being a huge tool by overreacting so much to one persons opinion/article. it always amuses me at how ambitious you are to announce your shallow opinion that was probably thought out with all the careful planning of an episode of viva la bam.
ps. what does egyptian have to do with being black?
Hold'em up against the wall,
Now they're all of no use to you.
God, it's time for the curing.
If I wanted an incap threat I'd reach for Kid Quantum. Sure KQ loses on the ranged part, but he has RS and 3 targets as well as the Legion TA. If you were fortunate enough to pull a Lois chase, you only need 17 pts to give KQ stealth-busting. If not...you only need 6(?) pts for an Alfred Pog to give him perma-Stealth.
That's KQ II in clix form. Jazmin is the Sister of the original KQ.
i have to disagree with goliath , as much as i loved him as a comic character, but there are quite afew that was overlooked.
oh, i'm not sure how this piece was missed:
some guy called the Spectre (from Origins).
crispus allen was a black male you know, right?
OK Wizkids- NECA..so far so good. Just remember, don't be complacent, stay hungry..and now that Mage Knight is back, don't blow it.
i overreacted. i'm an @$$. everyone hate me with abandon.
I'll settle for hating you with indifference.
As for the OP, interesting history part, way off with the ratings. If you think Sinister Nick Fury is overrated, you're playing him horribly wrong. Stealth, outwit, willpower and 8 range makes for a pretty nasty combo. Do NOT stay on the first click, thoughness does NOT compare at all to the playability lift he sees on his second click.
Also, MnM Storm, Avengers Black Panther and James Rhodes generally better choices than your top 3, with the possible exception of Goliath. I've seen Bronze Tiger getting shot to uselessness before getting in a single blow so many times now that his first click doesn't impress me much anymore. Why Black Lightning got a place at all I guess I'll never get. Too much of a first click wonder that one too.
Props for taking the time to write an article, though. Major step up from your former one.
"I just sold you for a cigarette and I don't even smoke!" - Monarch, The Venture Bros.
SR Storm M&M - The 19 dv at range and wide array of powers available to her make her one of my favorite pieces. All that for only 100 points.
V Steel Origin - The amount of damage this guy can inflict is crazy. And he has the scientist keyword.
U Jakeem Thunder - Being a fan of JSA teams he is a great addition. But he fits on any team with his 19 defend, perplex, and prob.
Don't agree that Sinister Fury is overrated. He's made to hang back and support the rest of the team, then come in and clean up. Works great with some ultimates members.
Pretty sure I disagree with everything said here (Aside from the history bit.) and Bronze Tiger.
Goliath has a soft opening with Willpower, and has to push onto any kind of damage reduction. Low ish AV (Similar to Black Lightning's) and 0 move and attack ability.
Nick Fury is a -great- secondary attacker. Paired with a Warskrull or Iron Widow or Winter Soldier on a Spy theme team, he's offering loads of utility, as well as a 3 damage Psychic Blast click. Works wonders with Protected. Bishop, similarly, i feel is under-rated (as I've never heard anything great about him). He's got a good AV and staying power, for a relatively cheap cost. Personally, I'd lean towards the R as being he best of the bunch.
Great Black figures that aren't even mentioned?
Black Panther - Still the cheapest stealthed outwit in the game, and still always a bother to deal with. The Avengers BP is similarly a great secondary attacker/Utility piece.
Storm - Her Danger Room V is a positively divine (cause she's a goddess, get it!?) secondary attacker, whom can dole out the pain with that 10 range and RCE for...what? 40 points? With a 10 AV? Bonkers. On top of that, there's the Monsters and Mutations SR Storm, who wreaks havok with a 19 DV from range, multiple target EE and a swiss army knife of powers. All for a clean 100pts.
V Bishop (100) - Great 10 range, and also a 19 DV from range like Storm's. His saving grace is his multiple clicks of Outwit. I can't tell you how many time I've had someone focus all their attention on my Bishop, for them to finally hit him for 3 damage, only to AGAIN be saddled with his Outwit.
U Jakeem Thunder - A staple JSA piece, his 19 Defend, PC and perplex is a great starting point to build any team around.
I mean, the list goes on: Amanda Waller, SI Captain America, Patriot, War Machine, Luke Cage, and Kid freaking Quantum, Mr. Terrific freaking STEEL. My mind is Boggled that Goliath and Black Lightning made the list over ANY of those folks.
My sentiments exactly. If it weren't for Bronze Tiger, I'd think he was going for jobbers on purpose.
As an aside, I'd like to point out John Ostrander's brilliant work in the 80's that was IMO groundbreaking in terms of upping the color quotient in 4-color funnybooks.
Case in point: The Suicide Squad was a well written non-blaxploitation book that featured a number of leading rolls for minorities, more than I've ever seen in a book in that time frame, and perhaps beyond.
The book featured several African Americans including:
Amanda Waller as Leader of the squad (how I hate it when someone villainizes her)
Bronze Tiger, who was apointed to team leader after Flag steppped out of the picture
Vixen, again in another team leader role.
It was so against the grain that it was refreshing.
Now if only we could get DC to reprint his work...
