"Iron Man," Ant-Man shouted, "get in her face!" Ant-Man was aware how difficult it was for his teammates to see Morgan with her mystic protections in place.

Iron Man took Ant-Man's advice and rushed at Morgan. He tried to focus on the blurry form of Morgan Le Fay. He wound up and threw a heavy armored gauntlet at the sorceress' torso. <KRRASH> His punch met only with masonry and bricks. 'How can that witch do that?' Rhodes wondered again.



- Dr Druid/Selene grabs Mockingbird and flies to I15, placing Mockingbird in J14.

WCAvengers turn 11a

'Two can play at that game,' Ant-Man thought. He quickly summoned as many ants as he could, thanks to his amazing cybernetic helmet. He moved up to support his teammates and help them however he could.

When Mockingbird realized that Morgan Le Fay was still employing the protection spell that rendered her actual position near-impossible to discern, the lithe Avenger shifted her target. She lunged and lended a fierce punch to the midsection of the last remaining cat-being. It snarled in response, obviously injured by the attack.

The ants swarmed around Morgan Le Fay's head. They quickly formed a thick cloud that obscured the sorceress' vision, and their tiny bites hampered her spell components. "Druid," cried Morgan Le Fay, "you resort to parlor games with these bugs. They cannot stop me and my faithful pets."

"'Tis not I, malicious one," replied Dr Druid. "These valiant heroes have great powers, too. You should have surrendered when you had the chance."



- Ant-Man moves to J15. Defend means that Iron Man, Mockingbird, and Dr Druid/Selene now all share Ant-Man's 17 Defense.

With a simple gesture, Morgan Le Fay invoked her magicks. She waved with her left hand, emphasizing the pinky a bit, and hundreds of the ants summoned by Ant-Man instantly transformed into moths. They swarmed and obscured the combatants' vision.

Iron Man was getting frustrated. "This witch is getting on my nerves," he said aloud. Since he couldn't see properly to attack Morgan Le Fay, the Golden Avenger switched targets. He punched the cat-creature solidly.

It snarled in anger and leapt at Iron Man. Tearing at his shoulders and neck with its front claws, the beast-man used its rear claws in an instinctive attempt to eviscerate Iron Man. The mystically charged claws tore through the metal and alloy composites. "Aargh!" cried Iron Man. Only the updated armor could have withstood such a vicious attack. As it was, Iron Man was hurtled across the room. He remained on the ground, unconscious.

Morgan Le Fay laughed, "Your vaunted knight has been felled. My pets will soon be unstoppable."

"Not if we can help it," Mockingbird said. She had vaulted right through the clouds of insects to grasp Morgan's arm and twist it painfully behind the sorceress' back. With a yank, she pushed upwards, and Morgan yelped in pain. "That felt like I dislocated it," Mockingbird said with some satisfaction, and she leapt a step backwards.

Dr Druid's earnest mien betrayed his concentration. "You have overreached again, Morgan Le Fay," Dr Druid said. He suddenly thrust out his arms toward the cat-being. "You made the cat people too beastly, sorceress. They have too little will of their own, and that makes it easier for me to do... this!"

Without warning, the cat-creature befell Morgan Le Fay from her unprotected flank. Under the thrall of Dr Druid, it tore and clawed at her, and Morgan Le Fay shrieked in pain and anger.

"How dare you?!" Morgan Le Fay exclaimed. "These are my pets. I've brought out their primal urges, and they are mine!" She attempted to ward off the cat-creature that Dr Druid had mesmerized. It was not going well; hand-to-hand melées were not her forté. Her facial expression quickly shifted to one of concern and then terror.

Dr Druid refused to let up. His power of mesmerization was taxing, but he knew this was the best opportunity to defeat Morgan Le Fay. He closed his eyes to concentrate.

It was working! The cat-creature continued its ferocious attack against Morgan. Claws, teeth, sinew -- the beast-man tore through Morgan's elaborate raiments, which were quickly spattered with blood. Morgan Le Fay shrieked once more in extreme fear before she crumbled to the floor.

Dr Druid, too, fell to his knees once Morgan fell unconscious. His head was aching, and he was dizzy from the effort, for he had spent his mystical energies for the time being.
