I thought this film was just so stupid. So stupid that I actually couldn't enjoy it, not even the visual. I really cannot understand why the bad guys had to get inside those "drills" and sabotage the GI Joe secret head-quarter. They could have just put explosives inside those drills and level the whole complex. Nobody's gonna miss something that doesn't exist. And those 2 guys in super suits, I really don't get why they could not catch up with the Cobra operatives. And Snake Eye on top of the car, why was he attacking the passenger who could fight back when he can simply go for the driver and end the chase easily.

I liked it, it was fun to see the movie-verse translation and I'm looking forward to the next one. It was cool to see the Doctor in something new as well. Best of the best, no, but it made it into my collection.

3 years later, and I still haven't even bothered to watch this movie yet

I guess it depends on what you're looking for. I had fun watching it and the story for the most part was worthwhile, but it did lack some of the more iconic G.I. Joe elements. I would like to see Shipwreak and his parrot myself.

It was dumb action fun. That happens to be what I wanted from the film. It's G.I. Joe, so if you were looking for more than you're watching the wrong film.

Ninja fights were cool, Cobra was evil in all the right ways, special effects looked great and it wasn't endlessly long for no reason like many summer movies are doing nowadays. bonus points for no dumb tacted on love story in my manly-man-action-film.

This movie will have you saying YO JOE!!!!


EDIT: DERP I thought this was about the second film. The first one was pretty dumb, but also fun. I give the first film a 5/10. (I woulda given it an 8 if you asked me when I first saw it, but i was also drunk as #### when I saw it, on sober viewings it was a 5)
