Know your target’s dial: Don’t hit Spectre onto his nasty 19 defense if you can manipulate your damage.
I agree with everything in this article except the "know your opponent's dial" bit.
There are so many Clix out there. Its hard enough to remember MY dials let alone my opponent's characters that I have potentially never played before!
I say take each round with no expectations. Know what YOUR team is capable of and then develop a method of taking down your opponent. Knowing their dials before the round sucks the fun and unpredictability out of the game.
That being said, of course if it is a figure you've used many times and you know what's coming - TRY TO AVOID IT!
I agree. Dice that are allowed to 'roll' seem to roll better than dice that just thud on the table. Anyone wanna call Mythbusters?
I call BS on this one CheeseWiz.
True Story: I was playing in the OR Fantastic Forces (Those where the days) pre-release tournament and had three Critical Hits in a row on a Hypersonic Flurry attack (VET Nightcrawler against EXP YellowJacket). The first one was the dice rolled into it, the second and third the dice thuded into them.
And for some reason the majority of my Crit Hits come from thuds and not rolls. Who knows except Lady Luck.
But as for Adam & Jamie, that would be a test of their skills. So, who's going to send MI5 a brick of HoT to help them test this?

You know, for a definitive conclusion about all things dice, I'm tempted to write them. Though, I hardly doubt we'll see them busting out Heroclix or doing Wargaming in general (maybe Grant), Reno is pretty close . . .
They might like the idea of doing a 'Las Vegas' style episode.
Until then, I'm calling this one: Plausible
Heroclix is a strategy game with comic book characters where you can shoot sheep guns and quip with Spider-man and Deadpool. It is played by some of the nicest, most giving people on the planet. That is why I play Heroclix.
This thread is laking in any real sacrifices....something must be sacrificed to appease the Dice Gods.
