I really think the key should be: If you REALLY LIKE a comic book team you WILL use all the figs of that team because play that team will bring you happyness, not matter if you don't have a keyword or team benefics. (and sometimes even don't matter if one of more of the dials of those figs suck). If many people would play comic acurate teams, no matter what, games would be a LOT more fun, and less cheese players would exist.

Now, if someone at NECA/WK would like to start making packs for updated cards for cards that were either incorrect, or where the keywords are missing, I'd be up for that. Or an updated card printing service where you can select 10 cards and get them re-printed for $5.

You know, to get a Gamora with GotG keyword, a US Agent with all the powers appearing and updated keywords (Omega Flight, etc).

That's what I would do as well.
US Agent has the Omega Flight keyword. The second figure to be given it, actually - the first was R Diamond Lil.

My bad, I thinking of the current Mighty Avengers, but wasn't sure whether to give him Avengers or Mighty Avengers keyword, should have checked to see if he had the OF keyword.

Also, despite the lack of utility powers (Outwit, Perplex, TK), that's a powerful 300 pts team.

Guardians in particular now have a *disincentive* for retroactively granting the keyword: the GotG Alternate Team Ability.

That particular keyword just became a more significant game mechanic, so the designers will have to be very careful about who they assign it to going forward.

If it were to come up in one of my events... I'd allow Adam Warlock or Gamora to count for "theme team" purposes, but I would not allow them to have the GotG ATA equipped.

I would like to point out that Moondragon wasn't part of the team. She was killed by Ultron and brought back by Drax and Phyla. She hasn't realy done anything with the team yet besides a little help defending Nowhere. So keyword not so much YET.

Given that you can only use them in constructed, and it is the judges who make the decision on who has keywords in tourneys, I'm sure if you talk to your judge they will allow the keywords for those characters who don't have them. If not, junkshot him and run like heck

Moondragon still isn't an official member, but will be with the next upcoming comic. I'm glad Drax and Mantis didn't get it. Drax's dial is too long and bulky (not to mention inaccurate) and who wants to play a mantis without mental abilities or prob control?

Gamora is the only problem I see here, but I can tell that with the Defenders TA they must of just thought of it and hopefully judges are cool enough to let her "theme" with her mates.

I hope they do make a cosmic themed set so I can get my Vulcan and a new Crystal to kick butt with her husband Ronan!!

I was thinking about this. I think the best errata WK could offer on this is to have the Guardians of the Galaxy feat card require Defenders TA and the Keyword.
This way, Phyla isn't paying to lose the no push damage from her PC ta.

The most egrarious keyword omission on U.S. Agent is Force Works; he was a core member. For some reason he doens't get the keyword whereas Wonder Man (who died in the first issue) does.
That's a pretty good solution, actually!

Just looked, and the only figure that this kind of nerfs is the V CT Yellowjacket. I know, many would be disappointed to not be able to pay 4 points to not have this un-Outwitable, but they will just have to console themselves.

The only other non Defenders TA figure with the GotG keyword is the LE Yellowjacket, Rita Demara from CT. But she's a Spider-Man ally Wildcard.

Is it really that big a deal if she looses willpower so the rest of the Guardians pick up a counter to Outwit? Personally, I think that the ATA is fine just as it is, and that changing the card so that a single figure can hold onto their willpower if you want to run other Guardians with her and give them a counter to outwit as well is a terrible idea.

personally, I have no problems running a GotG team with Phyla and leave out the ATA.
It's not like the Defenders TA is a horrible one...
