Frog is the MVP

I don't know what to say..............................

The guy that I play against the most in my area uses this piece constantly. He is a good friend of mine and knows that I can handle a hard team. The dial is ridiculously good, and takes much more than 72 points to KO, all things being even. Good rolls will do it, as always. This figure is the new standard whenever I consider what team to play. Can I defeat a figure with 19 defense, impervious, shape change, and stealth that takes up a fraction of the team? Exploit Weakness helps, as does perplex and prob. I don't build to beat him, but I keep this piece in mind every time I build.

Awesome piece, I have to go against it all the time, usually with the bucket of water -_-

I figured out how to beat it with the bucket of water though: WoS Nightcrawler + SI Iron Fist w/Vendetta on Throg. Use Nightcrawler to haul it back to Iron Fist while it's on its "activation" click and then Flurry+Exploit Weakness for 6 total damage=no more Thor Frog

Still Exploit for 3 on the frog is going to cause major pain.

I have now dubed thor frog "the apocolypse killer" i played him in a one on one against the GSX apocolypse. The only damage that thor frog took was a click from the double time feat. the shape change and impervious rolls alone make this fig a beast not to mention the exploit, or if you even get him near water terrain. This fig is the best in the game

Everyone should try playing this guy with Tempest from Crisis. It makes Throg even deadlier. Tempest sp gives Throg free water to occupy every turn. Tempest sp lets him turn all spaces within a 3 space radius into water. So now Throg constantly has water terrain to hide in. You can also do 1 dmg to every fig in or next to the water that Tempest dishes out every turn with Throgs sp. So basically thx to Tempest Throg is in stealth constantly, has los blocked, and is dealing 1 free dmg to any fig within a 3space radius now thx to Tempest. A nice little bonus to Tempest is that he has perplex which is always useful. Also if they decide to take out Tempest he has Mystics TA so that's just a slap in the face. Give it a try if ya ever get the chance. It's a nice tactic and very frusterating for your opponent to have to overcome.

Absolutely insane piece. He's on every asgardian team that I make (to the point where I have never used HoT common Thor since my team already has a "Thor") and the other cornerstone of any animal squad (the first cornerstone being WL Animal Man). His ability to bring the pain is legendary. And if he gets taken out, so what? He's 72 points. Hands down my favorite piece in the entire game for last few years. And as always, try to have him pick up the crimson gem. That dial plus charge, super strength and a +1 damage? Wrong on every level. Last time I played him he got the gem and ran roughshad over a "teen" keyword team (I was playing animals). To the point where I felt dirty and apologized to my opponent afterwards.

Give him Ambush and park him in water: He gets a +2 AV and cannot have lines of fire drawn to him. Throw in the Atlantis Rising BFC for maximum effect.

Imagine playing him with flashpoint aquaman, and having aquaman kO'd...the board becomes throgs playground.

i hate playing against this thing it killed my giant apoc taking only one click of damage and that was from a push so yeah i really hate this piece. 5 all the way around and i really want one but it is so pricey
