1) (Free) "Kind-of in a hurry. Can't stay to chat. So sorry." remarks Spidey as he copies the Masters of Evil TA.
2) Using the MoE TA Spidey pushes to Lunge-Charge to W-8, making the Close Combat Attack vs. Alfred: Attack 10 vs Defense 14. The roll is 4 + 5 = 9 and Alfred takes 2 for the KO, while Spidey takes 1 more push click. "That saucer better have a jacuzzi for relaxing these muscles!" [1 SA and 1 KO to Spider-Man, 1 AST to the Uranian]
3) (Free) "I'd hardly be from Uranus if I didn't have relaxing aquatic environs on my ship." notes Bob. "Let's leave my hiney out of this." points out Spidey before apologizing, "Sorry. Those jokes have got to get old." The Uranian Perplexes his Attack +1.
4) Reaching out to Metamorpho's mind, Bob attempts to tap the lizard brain and send Rex into a frenzy. Unfortunately the influence of the mixed elements prevents that as Metamorpho rolls 6 for the Shape Change. Sighing Bob realizes it's time for a sacrifice maneuver and moves to R-7.

Not quite, because it involves the actual Def of the figure in question, not just making a TA available for wildcarding. Batman doesn't get a DFD either each time a wildcard on his team moves into hindering terrain.

But this is a case of making it so a figure could actually make an attack - the very definition of an AST. Without the MoE, no attack would have happened.

Pretty much, yeah, but those are the rules. You can get TA-related AST's alright (FF or SS for instance) but just being available on the field for a wildcard to use it isn't considered enough, unless the rules changed during my absence?

It's to prevent Wildcard abuse. Plus according to the definition of an AST it requires an action and as far as I know, copying a TA is not an action. Just something you declare in response to an action.

Sorry if this seems arguementative Anders, but I'm mainly trying to get a better feel for these things. Basically looking through the rules I don't see where it specifically prohibits the ability to get an AST in this manner. I do see, however, where if you make it possible for someone to succeed in an attack you get an AST and that would seem to take priority, especially if we allow alt-FF and similar TA's which just require you to be hanging out on the field to grant stats.

I thought it was a Free Action?
(And, if not, what's the action done in the sharing of AV's through, say, Batman Enemy TA which allows an AST?)

Yes, because the doctor is going to argue with you on this fact.
No worries on things getting busy. As you can see in the main thread I was angsting over whether I should even call a sub for your first move or not; still feeling bad about it.
Looking forward to our match.

MoE is a good example of this.
The rationale behind it, aside from the prevention of Wildcard abuse, is the logistics to what the Enchantress is actually doing to give an AST. Examples above are tangible pseudo-actions such as PC, Perplex-ish ness, and Defend. What is the Enchantress actually doing here? She's sitting there being a member of the Masters of Evil. (Of course, in her case it could be an example of her 'compelling' Spider Man to move again, but I digress...). A SynSin member only gets an AST if the AV boost was necessary to hit, and Defeners/FFTA only get DFDs if the move would have hit without the higher DV.
Honestly, I would rule this as though it were Compel. If Compel gives ASTs on SAs, so should MoE.
