Well, nice. I think you're the first person to hit Atom in at least three arcs. Well played, sir.
Turn 6 (Player 2)
1) Atom moves to M19 (phasing for free breakaway).
2) Manhunter perplexes up his own AV to a 10 and fires his laser vision at Darva; rolls a 7 (4,3) for a 17/hit and 3 clicks.
3) Wonder Woman picks up Aquaman and flies to L15 (placing Aquaman in M16), flying by J13 on the way to pick up the HO in I12.
4) Power Girl charges to J15 and attacks Darva; rolls a 7 (1,6) for a 17/hit, 3 clicks and the KO.

"You do realize Darva is a lawyer, right my liege?" Garrack chucked as Darva went down under Power Girl's assualt. "Yor two teammates can expect to be sued in Atlantean court! And I hear she's quite the shark!"
"Give this up, Garrack, The League and I have won then duel!" Aquaman growled, pointing his trident at the senior advisor.
"Pointing your symbol of power at me? That's ill advised, "Sea King". Of course you won. You are the Justice League. Finish this and we wil slink back off underneath the waves..."

Sorry about this, but I'm leaving for another convention. This time it's C2E2 in Chicago, and unfortunately I won't be back until Monday. I'd really wanted to try and get a move in last night, but I just ran out of time.
I'll be back to post again Monday or Tuesday, depending on when we drive home.

As there is no time limit, I'm not worried. Garrack can wait for his beating!

Turn 7 (Player 2)
1) Atom pushes to move to J14.
Free) Atom outwits Kinlath's Toughness.
2) Wonder Woman pushes to attack Kinlath; rolls a 10 (6,4) for an 18/hit and 5 clicks.
3) Aquaman charges to M15 and attacks Kinlath; rolls a 7 (2,5) for a 16/hit and 3 clicks (since you're back on Toughness, which is outwitted - am I right on this?).

"Savor your victory while you can, Sea King!" Garrack said. "I notice you sent in your harpy to fight Kinlath before you stepped in. Is it because you fear the most decorated gladitoral fighter in Atlantis in single combat? I think so, and so will the hard-liners back home! Every blow you strike, while you think you win, you lose your kingdom!"
===================================================================
1) Using the Levitation spell Garrack will hurl a small trash can from N-14 at the Atom! A 10 to a 17 (+1). 6,3=9 is a hit for 2 unless he can shrink out off the way. Super Senses=2 as Professer Palmer is caught totally unawares.
2) Kinlath still has some fight in him as he takes a swing at Wonder Woman. An 8 to a 15. 2,2=4 for the miss as Diana's speed proves to much for him.

No problem. I hope my story posts allowed the title of the fight to come true as the dice sure didn't. The JLA never seemed to be in any true danger at all.

This game ran about the way I expected - a lot of time spent jockying for position, and it all came down to who scored the first major attack round. If you'd been able to slam me first or if I'd missed my opening salvo, the whole game would have gone the other way.
It's actually an illustration of the changing game, in a way. Most of these are older pieces, and you can see how dial design used to be built on that first hit. After the first strike, not many of these pieces could still compete against the others at full strength. Nowadays, pieces often have more back-end utility. Heck, some pieces are more useful deeper in their dial than on their top clicks. Not here, though. Whoever got that first strike in was pretty much set for this game, barring dice shenanigans and strategic ups and downs.
Oh, and your story posts were AWESOME. Thanks SO much for that. In fact, you've totally driven the direction of how the next JL issue is going to open. I'm just sorry I didn't have time to keep up with you!
