Once again, the bag has been tarnished. Anything that is used to clean the parts of this world that I love the most MUST be the best thing since sliced bread. There needs to be an end to these insults...bags are awesome. The people the comments are directed towards....usually not so much.
when i saw the title of this thread i thought it was going to sing my praises since i am the noob of the year. alas, just another thread complaining about the change *sigh*
goldpony's opinion is obviously something that we should take seriously-hail_eris

Thinking it's all about you, what a noob mistake.
Iron River Read my wife's comic or I will say mean things about your dog.
I suckered these guys into playing: Feedback Damage
I'm not whining...as I'll still run my games "Unrestricted" format as I always have...
... I'm just saying, as with most things... WizKids doesn't think things through all the time.
If they thought things through all the time, there never would have had BFCs and Feats in the first place, then they wouldn't have to do away with them as they are now.
I think that playing only on unrestricted is kind of lazy. But is just my opinion. I agree with the first part of your post, but not the second. FEATs and BFCs were created to avoid abuse of the rules at the time, and they had their place. The fact they also made possible a more richer game experience just adds more to the value of the idea. Fixing the abuse of feats itself would have been a better solution. To say that feats and bfcs should had never been made, also falls in the "doesn't think things through".

I donīt agree with you regarding SIN Nick Fury, he has always been a good piece in teams with Winter Soldier. Both have low cost, and the Nick Fury complement him well. He may not have an even better come back now because of his cost wich is still too high to have him in a Spy team with both Winter Soldier and Miss Marvel Skrull, but Soldier and Shield teams could make good use of his powers in a relative low cost. Just push him to his second click sniping ppl from stealth and youre gold.
Oh, and about complaining about figures been re-released, come on! What is your problem? Donīt want them, donīt buy them. Is no need to attack WK/NEca for that.

I was generalizing, true. That figure was good,,, and still is!
Yes because I am sure the genius who gets on a heroclix message board and creates a "noob of the year award" would know how to run a million dollar business so much better than the actual people running it.
Good thing you said this to VGA and not darius_dax1 or it would have ended up in his sig.

Too much information.

Noted and repped. I'm digging the Iron Man packs because I have very few of those figs in my collection.

Agreed, I don't how folk can think ragging on the Classics packs scores them any points when it's clear we are not the demographic targetted by this sort of product.
As for including the Classics packs in the Modern Age format, why wouldn't they be allowed? Regardless of the target market, the packs are still a Heroclix release and as such should be playable in tournaments (notice: I said "playable" and not "competitive", though I agree a few of the figs are very).

Figures from AW I would still play, and be competitive with today:
Echo - E,V
Mystique U
Wolverine U
Spider Woman U
Ult Dazzler V
Executioner E,V
Spider-Man U (If he had the TA he would be the best spidey ever!!)
Captain America E (No one in my town has ever even seen the Vet)
Shathra U
Quicksilver V
Warmachine V
Magneto U (All day!!)
Sentry U (still like this one more than the SI one)
VGA, your original post in here makes it sound like the majority of the older figures cannot compete with the newer figures, and then you followed up and said there are exceptions.
However, I think if you look at any set of clix, you will see that the majority of the figures are not "uber". I would say that most of the figures from HoT or AA are not all-star game-breaker figures. The exceptions are everywhere. Each set has its bad figures, its good figures, and its great figures.
Of course, from a business view, one could argue that "Yeah, we know the classic battle pack figures won't be in the tournaments. Once the kids buy those at Wal-Mart and get into the game, we want them to start buying our boosters. They won't be as inclined to buy the boosters if they can get all they need from the battle packs."
Even if they had taken the Ultimate's Set Iron Man instead of the Avengers Ultimate version.
Better yet, forget about using the old dials and just reuse the figures with new stats (like Batman alpha did). I think this would have been a better use of these resources.
