I can't say I'm so keen on the idea. Yes, he can grow back to big after he's broken down to a little sprout, but not nearly that quickly. His growth from sprout to tree is of a 'between battles' variety. Note that he spent the first 6 issues of GotG being watered in a pot like a talking houseplant. I may not be a stickler for 100% comic accuracy when possible, but to give him that kind of growth...

I can see the threads about 5 seconds after a picture appears. Half will complain he looks too much like a tree, the other half will complain he doesn't look enough like a tree.

And the other half will wonder when Wizkids got the license for LOTR and decided to put Treebeard into the set

I did a Groot custom and always when I do a custom I see LOTS of pics refereces. In this case I was very concern to do in the right size that he looks on the comics.
