View Poll Results: Should Regeneration heal a character of a minimum of 1 click of life?
All defensive powers have a chance to be overcome without the use of Outwit. Super Senses can fail. Barriers can be destroyed or manuvered around. ESD can be melee'd. CR can be shot at. Impervious, Invulnerable, and Toughness can be PW, PB, EW'd, or Incapacitate pushed for dmg. Even Mastermind can be Quaked, Force Blasted, or TK'd away from their body shield. This proposed change for Regeneration would make it the only defensive power 100% guarunteed to always succeed if not Outwitted.
I don't think you're making a clear point, here. You're saying there is no counter to Regeneration aside from Outwiting it? ANY hit to the character is a counter because it damges the character. You don't NEED outwit to counter Regeneration because it provides no evasion or damage reduction benefit.

Wrong. Re-read my original post. I made it very clear what this is all about.
We're all into streamlining game play now? How about just make Regen a support roll? Wouldn't that make sense?
So what? You'd have to attack yourself in order to regen? Could you do it while based by an opposing character?

Retirement is dumb. Don't be a slave to it.
I don't get the whole complaining about the whole chance of wasting your action thing.
Isn't there a chance of "wasting your action" when you have to make a break-away roll?
Isn't there a chance of "wasting your action" when you try to use Support?
Isn't there a chance of "wasting your action" EVERY TIME YOU MAKE AN ATTACK ROLL???
Initially I was on the fence with this debate, but now I'm saying "no".

I'll ask again. How many times do you see a character in comics have their Regenerative powers "fail" to heal them of any damage? Unless their powers are countered by some person, object or force (as would be the case of employing Outwit against the character in a clix game) they always heal of some damage. Healing by way of a healing factor should not be a "take a chance" sort of action. You should be guaranteed to get some health from it.
When in the comics a character regenerates, then it returns to the battle with renewed forces.
That better that to represent this after doing an clear action?.

Quite a lot of times! There are numerous times when even Wolverine doesn't easily heal (his system is over-worked, he's been injected with nannites, etc) and LOTS of characters have that black square to represent a much slower or varied form of healing than what Wolverine has. Look at Icons Ra's al Ghul. He has Regeneration to represent his use of the Lazarus Pits, it's not something that should always automatically be capable of healing him. How about Vet Origins Hawkman? His Regeneration is based upon him having physical contact with his Nth metal, separate him from that Nth metal (like Deathstroke did with ridiculous ease in Identity Crisis) and there is no regening for him!
Is that sufficient or do you require more examples?

No. That's plenty. Thank you for proving my point.

Yes. Regeneration should always heal at least one click.
Also, when using regeneration, if it doesn't heal at least one click, then the piece should not take pushing damage. Pushing to regenerate and dying from the push damage is really really STUPID.
I'd like to see either of these changes made to the rules.
