That being said I dont think this particular error is worthy of correction. Fix the QC problem to avoid it in the future, but the map is easily erattaed.
Sending a new map wont really fix the problem of confused new players, the damage whatever it may have been is probably already resolved (at least as much as it can be). For the veterans, we should be used to errattas by now.
I agree with the above.

I wish they still made double sided maps so newer players could have one side be an easier map and one side be the mega rules map. More open, less rules, everything lined out, etc.
The map isn't double-sided?
What. The. ####...
Why would you, as a commercial business, actively change the way you produce a product to make it inferior?
Especially when it only takes 1 guy who's pro at photoshop who also has a grain of creativity, to sit down for a couple of days - no more like a single evening - and make the map look great and feel professional.
It would cost NECA so little to make an excellent map - the printing will be the same (OK, it will be roughly double to print a two-sided map), but it costs them the same to design a #### map as it does an amazing one - but the effect it would have would be monumentous, considering the map is the main reason I buy the starter sets (I wasn't really that interested in the LoSH figures, I just loved the map).

Don't be silly, you know what I mean. Ok, EACH SIDE HAS A MAP ON IT YOU CAN USE IN A GAME. It wouldn't be a huge change and it would make people happy. It was right there in my post!
If I make you a trade offer, even if you think it's ridiculous, please at least respond with a kind and simple "Thanks but no thanks."
that the walls when put in place, form inverted swastika's
It's called a manji...
"Manji", a mirror image of the Nazi swastika. In Japan, where the symbol predates the Nazis by centuries, it means good fortune and can also represent a Buddhist temple.#
Actually I would say a Starter map shouldnt have any Special Rules....In theory a starter map should be the entry point for new players.
I agree 100%. That was the point of my post.
Beyond that issue, I wanted to highlight that the three of the maps out since NECA took over all have complex special rules. If it's a trend I'm not a big fan of it. To me map rules are often forgotten in the heat of battle, or tend to slow down play when you remember them.
I would much rather have a fun but basic map that I could play BFC's on if I wanted to (or not).
"Homer, on your way out, if you wanna kill somebody, it would help a lot."
Definition of redonculous :
1. (adj.) Excessively ridiculous; Head-smacking
2. (noun) Starro's regeneration power
Member of the Marauders in Exile!
They should make maps of definitive places in the Marvel/DC universe. Like a map of Superman's home farm, a map of Gorilla City, a map of Dr. Strange's Sactorium, etc etc
You mean like the jail cells on Oa where the Green Lantern stories take place, in the middle of one of the biggest Lantern runs in a while?

AND NOT MAKE THEM SHODDILY.
Okay, now this is something different.
WK should consider getting some volunteer editors from the fan base... find a couple of people who would sign non-disclosure agreements, who wouldn't leak information, and let them review products prior to release. Not from a game-play standpoint, but just from a quality control standpoint. I saw some of the same spelling errors that Cheese Wiz did prior to the product's release... I don't believe you can honestly hope for a 100% error-free product (especially when things are made in China and you have to deal with the cultural barriers that entails), but we should be able to expect a relatively error-free product.
I think Wizkids/NECA has done a good job so far. You can tell they want to be better than they were and have had a slip up or two. Right now I think we are seeing a bit of a learning curve on their part.
Learning Curve? These are the same people from before.
Like Alice in Chains said..."No excuses."

But, in all fairness, they are not under the same constraints as before and perhaps (and this is a little speculative I will admit), they are trying new things.
Just saying is all.

Here's a question about the map. How am I suppose to get the objects out of the armory when Wonder Woman is the only one who can pick them up, I realize Tk can be used to pull objects out and use them but it just doesn't make sense, maybe light objects should be able to be lifted by anyone. I mean they are suppose to represent weapons right?
It's not just the map. It's the annoying 'sandard' typo in the PAC. It's also the annoying scale issues (I don't ever remember Hal being the same size as the Atom).
To me, it's exactly what Jarimy says. This is the true relaunch product of the new Neca-Kids. It's the frakking Star Ship Enterprise, the flagship starter, the ooh and ahhh, that's shiny! If someone had just looked over the product that was released, they would have seen that map wasn't right; that the walls when put in place, form inverted swastika's; that there were typos in the glossy PAC; that they still hadn't gotten the scale issue resolved. It's like no one cared enough about it to check. Why?
I saw all the errors from the starter several weeks before the street date. I didn't say anything because WK delayed the release. I REALLY thought it was to fix the map. Now, I am more dissapointed than ever. It won't keep me from playing the game, or enjoying my new Blackest Night figures, but I've already retired this map.
Not sure why people are hung up on the swastika thing. If you've ever worked in an office cubicle environment, you've probably sat within a swastika for years and never knew it (they are layed out the same way).

So the customer is expected to pay the price while they perfect their experiments? I don't know of a lot of people that enjoy paying to be a guinea pig.
You don't always have to come running to WK defense. Sometimes they do just simply screw up. People have a right to complain when they pay for shoddy product.

All I'm saying is that mistakes often occur alongside innovation. I'm not going to damn anyone for it.
What you choose to do with your money is between you and your wallet. Frankly, I could case less.

Creating and printing a map is harldy "innovation". Likewise printing the PAC/rulebook. They've been doing it since the beginning.
Notice I'm not saying anything about Hal's scale. They are innovating there (using digital sculpting) so I'm willing to give them a pass on this one. Printing maps and rulebooks? Not so much.

I will say after reading this and others posts in here, I do understand to a degree the frustration of things. Honestly it was probably a mistake they should have caught before going to the presses (you know like Power Girl, GL Flash, Booste Gold and Blue Beetle)
I do suggest that in the future they need to do a little more testing on a final production and check it. I know I had to correct the dials(Again I am VERY A N A L about the dials being perfectly lined up) on almost all my figures from BaTB and over half of the ones from the starter. Is it something I can live with, yes, should I have to, no.
Same goes with this map. It was an error they are going to have to update for the PG. Do I hope they will do something more to correct the maps, yes, do I think they will, no.
Now aside from the Map, I think everything else was done very well. I think the "SCALE" of the figures has never really been much of a factor in heroclix (Giants aside) it's not something that is to scale.
