Let me toss this out there for people saying that Atom can heal people...
Would you say that Flash and Green Lantern can choose Support if Atom is on the same force?
Undoubtedly he can't, because of the addendum of 'Can Use'. Atom can use Support, so they can't. Were it just "...no other characters on your force posses..." then they could.
With that logic, Vampirism wouldn't work either, as the figure can use Steal Energy.
Support is a Standard Power. It doesn't give you +3 to your Attack when using it.
Indigo Compassion is a Special Power.
Special Powers are not Standard Powers.
Why would they even specify 'Standard Powers and Team Abilities' if you couldn't use a special power?

I believe that was to allow for things like Lazarus Pit (feat or trait) or the Blackest Night starter GL's special power.
Regardless of it being found in a special power, even used through it, you ARE using the standard power of Support.
EDIT: To make it clear, there has not been an official ruling on this. This is my opinion on how it will work.
What kind of action do you need to use Indigo Compassion? Anyone? Does anyone know?
It is a trick question. You never use Indigo Compassion. It sits there, granting you access to the Standard Power of Support, and provides a bonus When You Use Support. "The Atom can use Support. When he does..." Right there. He. Uses. Support. Modified by a passive Special Power that replaces his attack with a 12 when he uses Support. Support is a Standard Power. It is nerfed by the Blackest Night.

Just to throw a wrench into the works: How would Batman (Beyond)'s SP damage power work now?
Quote
IN CONTACT WITH BRUCE WAYNE: Batman can use Outwit, but he can counter only standard and named powers. Batman can use Perplex, but he can target only himself.
If Atom's SP grants usage and possession of Support, then Batman Beyond can now OW Atom's Support even though there is no yellow in the damage slot.
I think if a power is granted by a SP, it is NO LONGER a standard or named power. It is a power that grants a power that functions exactly like a known and named standard power.
The Atom does NOT possess Support. That is not what the power says. He can USE Support. There is a difference, this has been explained before.
If it granted him possession of Support then, yes, it could be outwitted. Since it is not, since he does not Possess the power, it cannot be outwitted by Batman Beyond's power, because he would have to outwit Indigo Compassion.
He does not possess Support, but he Can use it.
Also, the power does NOT grant a Support-like power. It grants the ability to Use Support. If they wanted to give you a power that functioned Like Support, they would say something like "This Power functions like Support." That is NOT what it says. It says "The Atom can use Support." Support is a Stamdard Power. You are reading stuff that is not written on the card. Try reading what is.

Since the Magical Orange guys have yet to agree amongst themselves as to the correct interpretation of this issue, perhaps we could express ourselves with the understanding that this isn't absolutely cut and dried yet?
For myself, I do think it's clear, but hey, I can see both sides. It's long been ruled that people who have "perplex, but..." abilities can use Brilliant Tactician with their variant-perplexes. That says to me that "can use perplex, but..." is perplex for the purposes of feats, BFCs and so forth.
If Brilliant Tactician works on a SP "perplex, but...", then Blackest Night shuts down Atom.
Intention and wording may be at odds here. I believe that is what the basic problem is. I was trying to word it in a way that would make sense. Obviously, you didn't take it that way. That is fine. I did not post to be argumentative, but to offer an alternate explanation while using the wording of something similar.
Anyways, I await the RA decision.
edit: meh, I capitulate. Atom can use Support, therefore, with Blackest Night in play, he can't use it to heal.
I'm sorry, I wasn't really trying to be arguementative either. I was trying to emphasize different words and word my explainations differently, in hopes of getting people to understand how I was reading it.

Mirror master succesfully uses shape change against captain america who charged him, can captain charge someone else or does he have to stay and his attack just fizzles?
He can't re-do his movement. If there was another opposing character adjacent to Captain America when he finished his movement, he could attack that character instead.

I know that used to be the case, but the Blackest Night PAC seems to indicate that this attack is now optional:
CHARGE Give this character a power action; halve its speed value for the action. Move this character up to its replacement speed value and then it may be given a close combat action as a free action. A character with this power ignores knock back.
Is the "may" above overruled by "the attacker must choose another legal action to perform, if possible" clause in Shape Change?
If that's the case, it just means that you have to be careful about final placement when Charging a character with Shape Change.
If you don't want to waste your action, make sure that you are adjacent to two potential targets.
On the other hand, if you don't want to attack a particular character (such as a Mystic or a character who would be knocked onto a dangerous click), then try to be adjacent to your intended target only.

Well, yes it does, BUT...
This was something which was intended to have been fixed with the new wordings on the PAC. (Norm's PAC preview article indicates that.)
