I started playing aroung CD so I missed out on alot of Legacy stuff. I also didn't get any Alpha. So, either way I'm excited for that Mega pack to get me a Mr. Freeze and that Joker.
Do you think that bane will have the Secret Six key word?
i don't understand why they keep doing this. it's cool we get reprints, but why not just save the money and manpower and make NEW stuff! i just don't get it anymore. u give us all these old dials that usually can't keep pace in todays game. i don't mind the old sculpts, but new dials like the FCBD versions of iron-man and war machine would make me buy these. until then, i'll pass!

They're not giving "us" anything in this instance; Classics packs are not intended to attract the established player. This is why Classics packs are marketed for the "big box" retailer (Toys R Us, Wal Mart, Target, etc...) and not the traditional hobby or game store.
I also doubt it takes very much time at all for WK to put together a Classics pack product. Nor do I believe that it interferes with the design process in any significant way.

From what I can tell, it looks like it's the Alpha's just in Battle Pack, no guessing form. While I am a HUGE fan of the Iron Man battle Pack as it let some really nice characters back into the system, but I think this battle pack is just reprints of all Alpha Characters, again good idea for any new players but for us vets not a good thing. If it was reprints of even Hypertime figures I'd even buy into some of those as I do not have those figures anymore and it would be cool to own those, as for the Alpha's, besides Oracles and Alfred that has been mentioned, I'm not that interested in these either.
Now I remember seeing some pictures of a Superman, and Batman, Avengers pack, I'd like to hear about those to see which figures are going to be in there, as I'd like to see a return of some of those.

MUNCHOBOY IS RIGHT AGAIN.
IF they created new dials for these then they could still target new players but add the oldies to their target audience.
BUT that takes staff time
BUT people would complain about how cheap they are to reuse old sculpts
BUT many current players don't have older figures anyway
I'm just glad they aren't putting ONE new figure in. That would be the worst case scenario.
And I, for one, love the maga packs as a jumping on platform for new folks, especially if it can be accomplished without slowing new product development.
Comical, Woolverine, Pop of Pop's Culture Shoppe and Wellsboro Comic Con.
Consider it all joy! James 1:2

i understand and agree with your points. still, i'd rather see a new dial put on these bases. i know it doesn't hold up 'our' sets, but it does take manpower to oversee a project like this. as little manpower as it takes, i'd still like more focus put on putting out new properties vs old rehash to get new players in.
if you give the established players a reason to buy these, then it's a win/win situation. i guess i gotta take my orange ring off. when i see anything with a clix base on it, i want to use it. if they would have taken the time to put dials on the freddy/jason/gremlins thing, it would have been awesome and more established player probably would have bought it !

it couldn't take so much staff time to make a dial for 7 figures. that should take no time at all really. war machine was a clear example of pretty much everything u said, but with a new dial. that new dial made everyone(even ppl who had the old one) want one.

I have a very hard time right now steering new players toward the Blackest Night starter when the Armor Wars Mega-Pack is available and the rulebook is available online.
That's the huge problem I have with the Fantastic Four starter reprint -- it's impossible for me to rationalize the cost compared to these Mega-Packs.

I had to rep this!
