I see Didio and Quesada as cut from the same cloth.
I want these clixed: Doc Savage, Fu Manchu, Tarzan, The Shadow, The Green Hornet & Kato, Conan, Solomon Kane, The Phantom, King Kong, Universal Monsters, Black Orchid, Manhunter (Paul Kirk), Xemnu the Titan, unclixed Kirby Fourth World characters, and Lilith, Daughter Of Dracula.

Yep.
Show me a critically-panned Marvel big event ("Civil War," "Secret Invasion," etc.) and I'll show you nigh-identical tripe from the other side ("Countdown," "Final Crisis," etc.).
Longest-Reigning Drunken HeroClix Champion - anyone got a liver?
For me it just felt like a derailing of the groundwork laid by Pak in PH/WWH. Might have been necessary, but I think they could've gone about it a bit better.
this was the big problem for me with this whole rulk debacle. chiefly because planet/world war hulk was so friggin epic. that whole run was without a doubt the most excited i've ever been about hulk in comics, i'd even say my favorite marvel arc of the last decade. it was definitely one of those things where i'd go up to my friends who no longer actively read comics and was like "dude you have to read this, its pretty much the perfect hulk story." it just feels like kind of a kick in the pants to go from something so.. cerebral and well thought out to such ham handed schlock.

What bothers me is that Rulk could've been the best villain of the past couple years if they had handled him properly. GREAT backstory, GREAT historical significance to the Hulk mythos, GREAT potential.
But, meh. Loeb wanted to write an action movie, so that's what we got. And not a good one at that.

I'm thinking Marvel's happy with the cosmic status quo right now. Hopefully.
That's what I hope, but there were rumors that Loeb would take over the Marvel cosmic stuff, and the hiatus on GotG and Nova right now has caused even more speculation (imagine that, specualtion and rampant rumors on the internet). Can't blame a guy for worrying, right?
A question for someone who knows: Does this mean he's being taken OFF of comics?
If so, fantastic (though the damage to the Ultimates is long done.)
If not, then yes, society truly has a ridiculous system for rewards.
Well, Marvel does seem very quick to launch a string of new series/miniseries offshoots at the drop of a hat. Or has everyone really been clamoring for a Namora series and 3 more Deadpool titles? And how about Doomwar, New Avengers:Luke Cage, Thanos Imperative:Ignition, Amazing Spider-Man Presents:Black Cat, Hawkeye & Mockingbird - and these are just from June.
Not that DC is immune to this: Rise of Arsenal and Batman Beyond come to mind quickly, but don't tend to crowd shelf space the way Marvel does.
There's a lot of people that love Jerry Springer too but that doesn't mean the stuff is good.
Mostly people who live in trailers. Many of them in Ohio, Alabama and other places which, by coincedence, are also places that get hit by Tornados more often then any other places, thus showing to the world that, as Doctor Johnny Fever put it, "God hates trailer parks"... And people who watch Springer to get their fill of cross-dressing midgets who have affairs with their relatives and the people who love them.
Just remember to set your tivo's to record the shows, you don't have to watch them, only make them believe Loeb is doing a good job and he won't write another comic.
