There pretty easy to pick up.

I've only played 5 or 6 games so far and they've been pretty fun. The only real trick I can recommend is to keep in mind that it IS just a game. People will say all sorts of stuff to try to either provoke you into giving away information or to try to cover their hinder... don't take any of it personally and you'll have a good time.

This site has a summary of the game rules, example roles and lots others. There's plenty of stuff on this forum, too - just look through a few old games.
It's not really difficult, it's just a matter of who is best at bull####ting others.
I'll put you both in the "maybe" column for now, but you are both very welcome to play - everyone needs to have a first game after all.
