Had the unfortunate experience of fighting one of these last night. 500pt floor game. He had me terrified the whole game but in the end his 2 figures vs my 6 man scientist team took it down, but barely. Mad props to WoS Iron Man and WoS Doc Ock. Don't give up when you see him just start planning to hit him on running games.
A solid 80% to me. His powers dont' quite ring true with the comic version, and I'll seldom be able to get to play him with that price tag. But, he's one for the fans, long awaited, and powerful to boot, so you'll not see me complain.

He's one people poop their pants at when they see him across the table. Much like the big Supermen. He has his weaknesses, however. Wildcard abuse and Thunderbolts Mystics, two old and reliable strategies, he has plenty of trouble with.

I don't think, despite some complaints, that the breaks game balance. He's tough but 319 points of little guys with high damage output and good defenses should be able to wear him down. Get him past his Imperv and you'll take him down.
The Inhuman of Team Vegas,
Black Bolt of the Vegas Illuminati
This figure is really awesome, but if you looked up the definition of a "broken" figure, his picture would be great. Its like having Captain America with 5 damage and can see through anything. In comics could he honestly strike through walls? The sculpt is nice, and I know the points is very costly, but overall- if played correctly- he is close to unstoppable. Maybe I am wrong, can anyone give me tips on beating this guy?
In the hands of even a "decent" experienced player this piece is one to be reckoned with. I just ran CS in a 400 pt tournament last week. My team consisted of CS, Molly Hayes and J. Jonah Jameson. Most of the time I just put molly into hindering and perplexed up her D so she was blocking with a 21 from range! The rounds where I didn't block I simply hit the guys with the larger damage first and took our the riff-raff later. 5 Star Piece - Hands Down!
Is there a way to make playability a 6? This guy's a beast, and for 319 points he should be. That trait probably costs 80 points or so, but just wow. He's the most powerful pullable figure, and it shows. So absurdly powerful...

Dude, in the hands of Captain Hook this guy is a "piece to be reckoned with." Cosmic Spidey takes NO skill whatsoever to play. Sooooooooo boring. Point. Shoot. Hide. He is unconscionably easy to win with. I see no fun in playing him. I traded mine the first day I got him.
CHARLIE666 way to copy my post moron. The reason I wrote "decent" player is because you can't just put him in and expect to win if you don't play him correctly. I have already seen him taken down several times at my venue, so he is in no way unbeatable. And as for your "in the hands of Captain Hook..." comment that is about the dumbest thing I have ever read. First off, Capt. Hook only has one hand so there is no in the "hands" of and second of all even Capt Hook playing nothing but a team of Pip the Troll could probably put you in your place pretty readily.
GreenLanternCorps: Wow, you are just as stupid as your first post. The Captain Hook thing kind of went over your head, but I see where you could make your argument; you're right the "s" was a mistake, but hopefully you can GRASP the idea. And there's no need to get so upset about the copying and pasting thing, talk about petty - geez - it was an accident. I don't sit on this site day and night making superfluous and pointless posts. Oh, and by the way, you'd never be a Green Lantern because 1) Christians have no willpower, and 2) God - who is really a group of little blue beings on Oa, unbeknownst to you Bible belt creeps - hates you because you're petty, fat, lazy, and curmudgeonly. One more thing: Pip rocks; you just don't know how to play him.
haveing beaten this piece a few times now i can say that hes good but not the autowin many claim hes a good piece for mediocre players or even good ones but he goes down to 319pts of well designed team in his place .short dials can be taken out by a couple of penetrating attacks. so not overpowered like advertised.

Quite a hateful rant you have there. Your ignorance is as deep as your ego. Have fun in life hating so much.
Wow "brightest night," at least Charliee 666 has a reason to be pissed - I did call him a moron...you however seem to be hanging on the coattails of a fight you weren't even involved in. Now in regards to your green lantern comments: The Guardians are not "god" even in the comics. If you new anything about Green Lantern mythology you'd know that - it's day 1 stuff. They evolved on Maltus as one...I repeat 1 of the first groups of beings in existence, which means they were not the first. They are basically really described as really smart, beings with scientists capabilities. They have created species, and universes and led to the destruction of universes, but they have not created or sustained ALL life.
