I made some suggestions on how to make this new rule more streamlined and easier to use. It seemed doable but it will be implemented at some point later.

It may be inconvientent, but I really like it.

It isn't too bad to track down the URL either. I just do a search for threads I posted on in the trade forum. If you bumped a thread like you should be doing, you'll find it easily. Finding threads I started myself is even easier.

Another idea is to just paste the URL into your initial offer so it is even easier to find when the deal is completed. It would take an extra 2 seconds of extra planning.

Jarimy made the same suggestion, and I think it's a good one. Great minds think alike.

Apparently not every URL is taken. I tried to leave feedback from a thread I had closed a while ago and it would tell me the URL wasn't valid. So I had to use a newer URL (which the deal didn't come from) to make it work.

So basically use any URL you want.

Yea man you get an error, so instead of reporting it to a mod (mainly Typhon) so they can look into it, you tell people to just say bleep it and not follow the rules. Good one.

First I have sent information on to Typhon. I've actually PM'd him about two separate things regarding this URL issue.

To better clarify and apparently not cause you issues how bout this statement.

"If you are trying to leave feedback and you get an error with a URL, try using a more recent URL. Better to leave feedback for the deserving person than not"

Really? Why not say all of that in your first post? Or we should all just read your mind when you make a vague post telling everyone to just put whatever URL they want in because it didn't work for you at first?

Honestly man I don't get where you are coming from. You make a post stating "It didn't work for me, and I used a URL that had nothing to do with it, so feel free to put any URL you want in." And what exactly do you expect? Why not put the info of the second post so we can actuall all understand what you are trying to say? You really are acting like I'm coming off as some sort of prick because you made your post as unclearly related to the actual facts as possible? Seriously?

I really don't see how this will slow anyone down, if they have bad intentions.

I think it's quite the pain myself.

Typhon has gotten back to me on both now so he's aware of the H/W issue and the invalid URL issue.

I interpret this as "I found a more recent trade thread involving the individual, so I referenced it despite the fact that our deal was based from a previous thread I can no longer use."

While his post was open to interpretation, taking it out of context and incorrectly paraphrasing him doesn't help either.

Yes I used my active thread even though this particular deal did not stem from it.
