- To celebrate Easter we will have an easter egg hunt.
- 400pts Golden age
-The character's are looking in a bushes for Easter eggs.
-At the begining of the turn, each character in hindering terrain must roll two dice and compare the result to the table below.
# - result
12 - 15 victory points
11 - 10 victory points
10 - 5 victory points
9 - a special, light object from outside the game.
8 - a light object from outside the game.
7 to 5 - they find nothing
4 - one action token
3 - defeated - the character cannot use feats this turn
2 - two action tokens (or one if they have one already) enough so that they are pushed.
There are a few rotten eggs there as well as some fine looking eggs. I will bring a selection of light special objects, such as lanterns and the like, if people roll a 9.
Only Pat and myself turned up today - better than last week when only Pat turned up (which forced him to go to the gym instead).
The Easter egg hunt was a raging sucess - the number of light objects we got from outside the game was incredible. It was such a shame that no-one on either side had superstrength. Both of us scored in excess of 35 pts simply from Easter eggs alone.
I won with a Batman & Catwoman led team (I figured that if I had to be in hindering terrain anyway ...). Pat came in second with a Phoenix and Cyclops led team of X-Men.
- 500pts Comic accurate team, the team must be based on a line-up that appeared in a comic together.
- 5 actions per turn, two battlefield conditions.
- Golden age.
At Pat's request a simpler format than all the senario's I've been running lately.
Unfortunately, I cannot make it. Can you Mr Nobody?
I'll try to contact people some other ways (ie phone) to see if they want it changed.
I will admit I'm one of the few who probably wouldn't be able to make it on Saturday and I know one of my other friends wouldn't be able to make either.
500pts Comic accurate - Modern age rules, golden age figures
Do I have to say more?
I will anyway. (this sounds familiar)
- 500pts Comic accurate team, the team must be based on a line-up that appeared in a comic together.
- 5 actions per turn, no battlefield conditions and no feats.
-Only ATA's
- Golden age (ie any) figures allowed.
A good old faithful at a higher than usual point cost, simply because Cap'n Dave wanted to play Nextwave.
-400 pts Golden age
- Make up your own keyword which cannot be the same as any existing keyword. For the purposes of this game it will be considered a non-generic keyword. It cannot be based upon the name of the characters ( so no -man or Doctor teams or -girl, etc) neither can it be based upon the colour of the character's costume; but other than that go crazy. For what I mean here are some examples.
Thangaranian
135pts -Hawkman V (OR)
90pts - Hawkman E (OR)
59pts - Hawkman R (OR)
71pts - Hawkgirl (BD)
31pts - Hawkgirl E (I)
-------
386pts + feats
59 - UL027 Black Widow
124 - MU038 Omega Red
128 - AW075 Titanium Man
86 - AW072 Crimson Dynamo
----
397 + feats
"It's not easy being green"
60 - AN014 Beast Boy
72 - HA100 Thor, Frog of Thunder
77 - XP091 Sauron
128 - MU062 Rampaging Hulk
55 - AW036 Marrina
-----
392pts + feats
The only caveat is using the "Alien" keyword. You can do so but it will be treated as a generic keyword.
- Bring two Battlefield conditions for each round (ie four all together) but in honour of each new keyword, you will be allowed an ignore each round.
- 500pts Golden age
- 2 battlefield conditions per round
- one ignore per round for each new keyword team
- see previous post for details and ideas about new keywords. Personally I'm torn between "Moustache Mayhem" and "Infernal" and "The blue man group " and ...
As it has been a while since we had a proper tournament I figured we would have a larger game.
From little minion to colossal giant, all armies need them.
Ever wonder if an Easy Company Soldier can get that lucky shot on Galactus. This will give you a chance to find out.
Build a team including everything from minions to colossals and everything inbetween.
- 2100pts Golden age
Team needs to include:
- at least one colossal (at any point value, you can include more then one)
- at least 200 point of minions (this can be any generic figure e.g. Zamaron, Easy Company Soldier, Omega Level Sentinel)
- and the rest any characters you like.
We are looking at same time but if people can't make it to later then that's ok we just need to let the shop know.
If the new Captain America set is in by Sunday we are planning to run a sealed event. starting time is 1pm.
If the set is not in we are planning to still run an event but this is "the Alien Amoung us". 600 points Golden age build. At least 300 points of that is characters who are alien to earth so Superman, Martian Manhunter, Captain Marvel etc.

Doesn't look like the distributor will have the set out to stores until mid next week at best. I'm told that they won't actually receive the stock until monday.
Christ did not come to condemn the world, but to save it.
By the begining of the week Good Games is expecting in the new Captain America set. So there will be new boosters as well as new prize support. So to welcome in the new set we will start off with a sealed tournament.
I will ring the shop on Wednesday and check - if the dreaded happens and no new boosters are available by Thursday, I'll post the news here to let you all know.
