Other than the bad usage of "costumed" (as that kind-of goes to Doctor Occult but it's nitpicky), the only real gaff is the "millions of years in the past" (which is a rather amateurish goof on their part). I just hate being reminded of the Superman retcon.
I too hate being reminded of the retcon; it's one of those things I try to ignore, like Mopee. But even so, it wasn't a "time-traveling" Superman, it was Rama Kushna showing Lee Travis visions of the future.

That one, sadly, is an even later retcon (unless I'm reversing them - can't remember what year the Secret Files with the Kushna story came out). There's also one of Supes actually doing time-travel. Not sure which one is currently considered canon as they've both gotten referenced. Both are lousy ideas.
Heck, I'm still bugged they ever showed us how Lee died. I liked it remaining one of those "unknown mysteries" (same with Sgt. Rock, Jonah Hex, etc.)
"Nobody important? That's amazing. You know, in 900 years of traveling time and space I've never met someone who wasn't important."

Good to see him although I was hopping for the Red suit and his partner Wing
"A Jester unemployed is nobody's fool." - The Court Jester "And so he says, I don't like the cut of your jib, and I go, I says it's the only jib I got, baby!
It pleases me. The only thing I wish he had was the JSA TA, like the other SSoV members have.
Snap! You're right! I forgot they were doing that. Then we're still missing a Speedy with the TA (not to mention the Keyword). Plus the judge LE Oliver is pretty hard to come by and has that accursed star fish on his face (Seriously, wtf were they thinking. Although, a head swap with Crisis Speedy and a quick paint job makes for a relatively easy fix.).

I also prefer the classic look, although, if I can find the right mod fodder I might also make a spandex version.

Assuming by retconned you mean the post-Crisis retconning due to Green Arrow and not the more modern incarnation.
Right. The current DC Legacies series revealed that TNT and Dan the Dyna-Mite were in the Seven Soldiers in place of Green Arrow and Speedy

I find that the following at least works as a nice "nod" Seven Soldiers team:
*Crimson Avenger (now replaceable by the real deal but previously the CD)
*E Star-Spangled Kid (just pretend its' Syl as the dial works for the most)
*STRIPE
*Green Arrow (LE Oliver Queen w/the JSA TA)
*Speedy (either the normal Crisis or the LE Roy Harper from the set)
*Shining Knight (I just try to pretend it's Sir Justin)
*Vigilante

Right after Justice League came out i ran the following team:
CD Crimson Avenger
E Star-Spangled Kid
STRIPE
V CJ Green Arrow
R CD Speedy
Shining Knight
Vigilante
