Wouldn't that mean every character takes damage, it doesn't specifically say just their characters, right? So, is it really that broken if every character takes 1, and every character of the active player that doesn't attack within 4 takes a second click?

But isn't it an attack when you roll the dice? And destroying a wall does not involve rolling dice, so it wouldn't be called an attack right?
Usually, yes, dice are rolled. But an attack doesn't always involved dice rolls. In this case (rule book, page 12):
DESTROYING BLOCKING TERRAIN
A square of blocking terrain can be destroyed by an attack that deals at least 3 damage in a single attack. When a character attacks blocking terrain, the attack automatically succeeds. A close combat attack can be used to destroy a square of blocking terrain adjacent to the attacker. A ranged combat attack can be used to destroy a square of blocking terrain by drawing a line of fire to the center of the square of blocking terrain; the line of fire is not blocked by the target square in this instance.

They can't attack Ares without range and they can't attack him close combat because they are not adjacent, so they have to move closer and take a push and then they take the penetrating damage from Ares, but it will only work on some characters.

Well, that figure could be carried away or something to avoid the push part.

1.It would be nice to use taunt with ares (has to be golden age to equip feats) 2.To target a character with 0 range (Taunt is a ranged attack, ares has a 4 range and no move and attack for ranged) 3.who has 1 token (self explanatory) 4.and they take penetrating damage from Ares (if Ares is on a click that has the power).
See where I'm going with this? And this isn't even taking into account that Ares is already expensive and Taunt is 15 points. It's so situational.... it's like what's the point?

The amount of posting-without-reading going on in this thread is crazy.
You'd have to play it in 400 points but it would probably be best to pair him with a cheap/er taxi who can tie-up opponents, like Karate Kid, Nightcrawler, or maybe X-ray.

I have a related question regarding this particular power:
Does it trigger the Mystics TA? The way I'm reading it, I don't believe so. Am I incorrect in thinking it would be like using Poison on a Mystics fig? The damage is not coming from an attack, no?
