I'm here on behalf of my client Mr. Larfleeze. Mr Larfleeze explains that just because it takes some thought and trial and error to use him effectively does not mean he isn't a bad piece.
When used properly Larfleeze has single handily won me matches in 300 point games, where his teammate, Arcade, gets killed off fairly early in the match. The key is to learn how to use your constructs effectively. Since they cannot tie a character down, you have to find a way to get your construct out there, all I'll say is, it's all in the timing.
I submit to you that he is not a bad character, bad players.
Fun piece. Tricky to use and requires some support, though. My only problem with him is that he can't pick up and carry the Orange Lantern object. Loses points for comic accuracy there.
He's a thinking man's piece alright. Too much so, when it comes to Heroclix. My head refuses to recall all but the simplest rules and numbers. While that is me flaw more than it is his, the fact that only a few people can actually understand how to use him well somewhat cuts into his playablity value. As much as I like the comic book character, I cannot play a figure who needs a small booklet of errata explaining the exactly how his powers work.
So Larfleeze can spend the first few turns making some constructs, then spend the rest of the game walking back and forth in his starting area to move the constructs wherever he wants, and he can attack through them but the constructs can't be attacked? Do I understand this right? If so, this is AWESOME. If I'm confused, please let me know before I make a fool of myself in a tournament.
@ jokar15-you have it right. Also consider this-you can create an object, place it 6 away and poison right away since these events occur at the beginning of your turn in the sequence of your choosing. When you move an orange object, it does not stop when it becomes adjacent to an opponent because it's not a figure...it's an object. I'm thinking he can be carried by the FF Abin Sur and then you can move the objects. Anyone object to that?
So could I use Arcade to move Larfleez's Constructs around? It doesn't specify what type of object they are, and Arcade can move standard objects. If that works, a team with Trigon, Larfleez and Arcade would be incredibly fun to play.
@magog_rules- You could not use Larfleeze's constructs with Arcade's special Speed power Murderbots as it specifies standard objects, and Larfleeze's constructs have the Special Objects symbol.
Agent Orange gains some playability with the introduction of Cyborg Superman. Why? He now has a personal bodyguard that can heal via gobbling Larfleeze's Corp members!
The new ruling on TK'ing him really dampened his play-ability further. He needs some minor errata to make him worth his points in the modern age format. Here are some suggestion:
1). Grant him Willpower or Indomitable
-OR-
2). Make his poison penetrating without having to play him in Golden Age and using Armor piercing on him. As it stands in my opinion he is ONLY playable in the Golden Age format with armor piercing as too many characters have toughness or higher these days.
-OR-
3). Allow the constructs to be considered adjacent to Larfleeze for all purposes, not just for poison and close combat. This would at least allow the constructs to tie-up characters while slowing them down and keeping them from overwhelming Larfleeze early on before he can summon an ample amount of constructs to be viable.

Hey BigBlueBeast, can you explain how the TK errata affects Larfleeze? I've only played him once and he was absolutely broken. I played a 2x2 map and gave him armor piercing, with Lyssa Drak TKing him around and he couldn't be touched. The one time another character tried to base him, i dropped an Orange Lackey next to the opponent and ran the hell away. I poisoned everyone to death without relying on close combat attacks. The only time i've felt as sick with overkill was when I used SM Superman.
