okay, so Golden Age; what happens if you put LMD on him?
Defense - Layers of Extra Fat: Blob Ignores all but 1 Damage Dealt to him.
LMD: 12 pts. This character may not be healed. Damage dealt to this character is reduced by 1 if it is not reduced by any other effect.
Ignored is NOT the same as Reduced.
I figure he would take no damage, unless it is penetrating; and even then he will only take 1 at a time. Did I get that right?
so im guessing life model decoy is illegal on him? cause with that and fortitude....that makes him unkillable....then play resistance battlefield condition and team him up with another brotherhood...and even with thwart......wow......time for errata!
Notice that he does not reduce damage, but ignores damage. He is only going to take 1 damage, period. No Exploit, No Psychic Blast. Only PW can hurt him for more.
Oh boy, that sure is an exciting and unpredictable dial for the Blob... I'm sure glad a jillion fat campers made sure we didn't get to see anyone with actual non-flab related powers*

PREACH ON! well I would have been happy with either Mystique or Domino
actually this is the first fig I don't want from this set. Great job Wizkids, you have made a great set so far!

As the active player I chose which simultaneous effect happens first. I chose Life Model Decoy to reduce the damage by one and then the SP to ignore all but one damage dealt (see also: Xray Rulings as this isn't the first time this has come up)

If the active player chooses to let you ignore and then reduce, that's his business.
However, the smart active player (AKA the one attacking hoping to actually hurt Blob) will choose to make the reduction occur first and then ignore the damage. Meaning Blob will still take 1 damage.

And now you've increase his point cost to well over 100 points and he can still be Incapped, PWed, or just pinged to death (see my point above about the active player choosing the order to apply the game effects). I'd actually love to play against some one that did this... more points for me
Blob is kinda dissapointing, His specail is awesome, but is stats are horrific. He is like Ulik all over again everyone thought that is special was so good that it made up for his horrible defense values, but guess what that didn't last long. Blob suffers in the opposite way though, yes his special is better but his attack and damage values are horrible. He will make good mastermind fodder and tie up, that is about it. He just seems too expensive for those stats.
I love this figure. It can do decent damage and doesn't cost as much as Unus. There is something to love about a morbidly obese villain. I am jacked, especially with Harry Leland in this set. I can now run another sweet Fat Guy team. Now just have to mode Blob into a bikini.
