i suppose you could do range with the s.h.i.e.l.d. guys and damage with researchers, but i honestly don't think that a range increase is worth eating up points on your team. i definitely don't think it's worth breaking theme for. having a theme team is crucial for prof x, so that you can win the map roll and get on the prison map for maximum cheesy defensive positioning of prof x in the starting area. map choice can honestly make or break the prof. not to mention that you couldn't use both s.h.i.e.l.d. guys and researchers on the prison map where you should be playing.

Played against him once. Knew I had to base him right away. Still died and he still destroyed me. Everything you've heard about this guy is true. I do like this interpretation of Cerebro- I just wish that we could have a modern age Prof that doesn't hide his dial info. Come on Chuck- we give you the best parking spots, the least you could do is let us see what's going on with your stats.

Annoyingly effective even without the use of researchers. The ability to strike from afar and not within line of fire of his opponent makes all the difference. He works wonders with Cuckoos.

seems horrible to waste 6 turns on a 33% chance at +1 damage when you could just play a perplexer instead.

I just want him to wheel chair charge the first person to get close to him why carrying a large object like a car or a vending machine. Now that would make me smile.

Has there been any official word specifically stating that you cannot make Close Combat attacks with Incap or P/PB while using In Contact? The wording looks like it means you can't, but if you can, that's one way Chuck could work around Stealth: Mind Control the character to walk out into the open.

you can do close combat with incap or mind control, but not psychic blast. i see no reason why you couldn't use in contact on any attack you ever make with any character or power, since that's pretty much what in contact does... as far as answering stealth goes, that's what BFCs are for unless you have somebody with ultimates on your team, or tk in a couple weeks.

Would Brilliant Tactician be advantageous to use with this Click? Trying to evaluate the potential of using that feat with Professor X given his ability to use Cerebro and what not? Any thoughts?

With his trait he can always see his allies as long as they share a keyword with him. Just like characters with prob can prob themselves because they can draw line of fire to themselves. He can draw line of fire from their square which includes themselves. No more having to worry about LOF for BT any more ^_^

that's true, and BT would be pretty good with him because of that. however, i think i'd rather have outwit most of the time. i guess if there were a turn where xavier already had a token and nobody else on your team did, you could push him to PB something, click into perplex, and BT everybody up to attack as a team. but, is the possibility of doing that worth paying 20 points & losing outwit? i don't think so, personally. if i'm gonna build a team around BT, i'll stick with good old mr. fantastic.

BT comes in handy when you have R or V Origin Atoms as mobile Prof points.

well beating this guy is damn hard depending on how you use him. i played against him in 1200 point battle. all xmen keyword. with him having doug ramsey to perplex, emma and researcher for enhancement. let alone he had the phoenix with the golden age regen card. the current nightcrawler with armor piercing and camouflage, wolfsbane with camouflage, current cyclops, psylocke (Tk one), X-23 (xforce one) angel, current beast, lockheed, and i can't remember the rest but i;m sure there was somebody.

believe me basing this guy was a crazy sacrifice consider all the other weapons around him. after losing a few games over time, I eventually came up with a mostly justice league team to defeat him. which consisted of barry allen flash (119 pt one) with armor piercing, icons vet superman, with repulsor shield and fortitude, arkham asylum wonderwoman, with r-shield, fortitude, and hold the line, brightest day GL, blackest night aquaman and martian manhunter and the question (37 pts) as a cheap stand in for batman and so to not give the entire team stealth with ramsey's special power.

lol hardest games of my life has been fighting this proffesor. i think he should choose one of his keywords to this with and not all. i mean imagine a 1200 pt team with the illuminati figures mixed in with a few x-men.

or you just play some mystics and he goes down pretty quick from that.
