True. I agree. I think the "intent", though, was to be able to allow him to use Outwit and Perplex from the squares of friendly characters. The only damage powers he has are Outwit and Perplex, so why even specify Damage powers in the Trait? I think in the end I think it will be ruled as him being able to do so. While I wait for the official ruling I will rule it that way. Hopefully I'm not wrong
Don't get me wrong...I'm thinking the same thing you are. Like I said, I haven't even seen his dial so if Outwit and Perplex are his only damage powers it makes sense that the intent was that he count 10 squares from the friendly character. Assuming that is the way it is suppose to be played, this is something that should probably get a clarification in the Player's Guide at a minimum/Errata if they want to go all out.

This is a major loophole around NaaT as well. If timed and played properly, this is an amazing fig that you would have to cross the map just to take care of.
Most of the questions seem well-covered and understood.
Unless an orange name comes in here and messes us all up, anyway.
There was this one....

That is how I read it. He can only use In Contact with Cerebro when he is using one of those powers. If he is not using one of those powers, for example he is just doing a normal ranged combat action, he cannot use In Contact with Cerebro.

CAn he use a close combat attack with the cerebro power?

As written, no. He can draw LOF and count range from the square, but he isn't considered to occupy the square. Since he isn't considered to occupy the square, he isn't adjacent to a character adjacent to the friendly character and couldn't do a close combat attack.
Professor X is just plain amazing! Nightcrawler runs 14 sq.
across the map and the Prof shoots somebody in your
opponent's start area or mind controls them. Just nasty!!

Or...
Say you are using Professor, Nightcrawler, Wolverine, and Warpath. Your opponeny's Sabretooth is seven squares away, too far for Wolvie to Charge. So you use Professor to use Wolverine's position to Outwit Sabretooth's pesky defense power. Then you Mind Control Sabretooth to walk casually over to Wolverine. Wolverine uses Blades to attack. If Sabretooth is still standing, you use Nightcrawler to attack and carry Sabretooth back and stop next to Warpath. Whom himself has Blades....one dead kitty.
Just another way to use this awesome piece to your advantage.

Can professor X use this power (we'll say on Wolverine again) to make a Psychic Blast attack, then use his Outwit power to take away the opponents defense and then have Wolverine make his own attack on the figure?
new question in the thread. searched the threads couldnt find it. I found that professor's Card Is wrong. There is no damage special power on the card. There is a trait star where it should be for his ICWC. I assume this is the damage but what is the ruling. Are both negated intil a decision is made? Usually follow the dial but...
