I agree with Jarimy123; if discourse regarding the rules isn't allowed, and some back and forth debate about the rules and their interpretation, then this wouldn't be much of a forum.
For instance, in regards to being butt-hurt, wouldn't Band Aids help more than a scratcher? The scratcher might only agrivate the matter . . .

What about figures that don't start out adjacent to Cobra when they are given an ACTION?
From the Rulebook p. 8:
Quote
BREAKING AWAY
If a character occupying a square adjacent to one or more opposing characters is given an action and attempts to move, that character must successfully break away BEFORE it can move, as shown in Figure 8.
Presumably, if ANY figure was already mid-move from HSS when he becomes adjacent to Cobra he should not need to roll breakaway.
I know that is going to upset a lot of people, but I presume that is the rule.
"A Jester unemployed is nobody's fool." - The Court Jester "And so he says, I don't like the cut of your jib, and I go, I says it's the only jib I got, baby!
That's no different than normal, though. You never have to roll break away mid-move.
Just throwing it out there, because 75% of the posters dont actually know what Breakaway means and they are going to mess this up.

I think what confuses is it seems NC is ignoring "No Esssscape". what does Cobra have to do with it?
does NC ignore Leland's "Mass Increase"?
No he doesn't ignore Leland's power.
"Extra-Dimensional Teleportation: Nightcrawler ignores the effects of terrain and characters on movement."
"Mass Increase: Opposing characters within 4 squares of Harry Leland can't be given actions to use Charge, Running Shot, or Hypersonic Speed and halve their speed values when given a move action."
That is an effect on Nightcrawler's power, not his movment.

Kid Zoom's "Stop"?
Again, that doesn't have an effect on his movement.
Inertia, on the other hand...
Are people still this butt-hurt about Nightcrawler that they are grasping at straws to deal with him? He's good, but not that good.
Not grasping at straws, but I do honestly feel that it could be ruled either way, and therefore I will present my case for it to be ruled in the way that is better for the game overall. I can kill Nightcrawlers sure, but it would be nice to have a figure that can deal with him consistently.
Isn't movement and breakaway two different things? After all, fliers ignore other characters for movement, and yet they still have to break away.
