Considering you can still find boosters on the shelves, I'd say that's a definite yes.
Didn't help either that the support was fairly thin for the game, and it quickly became clear that it was most likely a one-shot.
Going along with that. I also think there was a distribution/Marketing issue.
The only place I ever even came across Halo-Clix prior was at places like Borders and Books-a-Million...wtf?
Local B&M stores had a few here and there and could order it for those who wanted it, but other than that, they didn't get pushed.
Now, I recognize that making them all compatible under the same system is a very smart and probably good idea... I just choose to keep those vastly different universes separate.
Look at the Vs. system. It had a good 5 year run, but just became very convoluted with new and different sets coming out monthly too. I was excited when it came out, but quickly lost interest as the universes got too mixed and muddled.
I don't think the same will happen with Clix. It's an entirely different beast. But I already hear many claims from disgruntled players in our area of not wanting to feel like they are being forced to buy other licenses and properties to simply try and keep up and compete with other players.
Alex Ross hates Kyle Rayner too. I hope the Death's head sculpt is hideous and his dial is just as bad.
i feel that! i'll buy some boosters for you bro!! i'd play anything they made heroclix compatible! if they made gleek an actual figure(and a prize to boot) then i can play anything they throw at me!!
@antonio.clark.art is my instagram.take a look and tell me what you think....be blessed!!!
Fitting into the Heroclix fan-base I do think it will fare better. I don't think it will do near as well as a regular Marvel or DC set, especially so close to Superman, but time will tell. It would have made a lot of sense to release it in November alongside the Halo CE Anniversary Edition release. Maybe they will announce a FF for around then.

I love Gleek and of course have him... but can't seem to find a good way to use him without being screwed... I love monkeys and try to get them all haha.

Which probably has a lot to do with why they are currently Golden Age only.
They do look cool and fun, but I think they should have stuck to their own stand-alone game.
Here we go again. When HorrorClix was announced it was "Well, if it's compatible with HeroClix I'll get it." and then when it wasn't really, it was "Well I won't, because it's not compatible." Same thing happened with ActionClix. "It should have been compatible!" Now, here we are a few years later, and it's all compatible and all we're hearing is "It should be it's own game..." Seriously people, can minds get made up ever?
Contrary to popular belief, I do know what I'm doing

When did this happen? I was a full-out completist on VS and the closest I can come to "monthly releases" - not counting starter decks - were one shots like Coming of Galactus coming out a month before DC Legends regular set. That and the Hellboy "mini-set" (which was more of an LCG concept) happening at the same time as another set.
Heck, the last few sets basically even snuck in "under the radar".
Not sure of "muddling" either as, again, other than Hellboy's one-shot, they only ever did Marvel and DC.
I think the bigger problem for VS was UDE was expanding in to too many other card games (but those are ones that are still lasting, I guess, like WoW).
Mean this less arguementative as it sounds and, honestly, just curious what made you feel that way or what I'm missing/misremembering.
"Nobody important? That's amazing. You know, in 900 years of traveling time and space I've never met someone who wasn't important."

My mind was made up from day one. Seems to me that if enough people were Halo fans then it'd be a moot point, as the game would likely still be in production.
Longest-Reigning Drunken HeroClix Champion - anyone got a liver?

ActionClix had a bigger marketing push than most HeroClix releases.
Big box retailers, including WalMart, Target, GameStop, and Borders carried some portion of the line, usually the Hunter Pack, Warthog, Banshee, and 4-figure boosters. Target had an exclusive version of the Warthog and a 2-figure pack.
5-figure boosters were offered exclusively to comic and gaming stores, along with all of the above, and the Scarab. There was also a prize kit of six figures made available.

The fact that they were sold out but could order more indicates that there wasn't enough demand.
