He was asking a question, based on a style of play that is common and commonly enjoyed. You don't like it, fine. You don't get to deride people for their style of play. Drop it and move on.
Who was deriding anything? Did I call him a name? Did I say it was stupid to play highlander? Let me go back and check... no, no I don't see that anywhere at all. But thanks for jumping to conclusions.
As far as I why I mentioned it at all: it is set full of little soliders. Sure, some of those soldiers represent a specific character (like Master Chief), but they are all dudes (or aliens) with guns. If I ever had a player come to me and say "I want to run a team with multiples of these guys," why would I have any problem at all with that? Maybe his venue wouldn't either... plus, there are always home games.

I think you're blowing things a BIT out of proportion.. I'm not seeing the perceived rudeness..
Just saying..

Right like running a bunch of Superman wuld be running "GOOD Kryptonians".
Same difference. Just a Bunch of Kryptonians under a yellow sun.

If you want to look at it that way, sure... I honestly don't know much about Superman other than what Christopher Reeve taught me, but why wouldn't a bunch of Kryptonians on Earth all have Superman's powers? Isn't that what let Zod and pals do what they did in Superman II?
I never understood Highlander rules, considering between the movies and TV shows there were always more, there was never just 1.

There was just one at the end of the first movie! Really, Conner became the last Highlander, won the Enlightenment, and thus nullified all subsequent Highlander ventures.

And don't forget the 'Prize' was that he was turned into Raiden.
Honestly, I didn't read through the thread, because there is no official answer to questions about a "highlander rule," but I just noticed that the thread was started by someone with a screenname of "Mac" and had a bit of a giggle fit.
Carry on.
