That is of course a fanboyed attempt at the fight though and isn't neccessarily valid just because it was done by Wizard Magazine.

And is ki really magical anyway? I would say no, because magic in DBZ is radically different when shown (CLOTHES BEAM!). So the Ki blasts are essentially massive amounts of heat and light energy.

And as said, nobody in DBZ could survive being tossed into the sun (It blew up Broly, come on guys!) whereas Supes could, so clearly the natural toughness of a Kryptonian is more than enough to take the massive amounts of energy a Ki blast puts into it.

BUT

We also have to look at Goku's side of things. He can take energy blasts as well and even avoid them too. Supes heat vision wouldn't work so well at a distance as it would be constantly dodged around.

Both are extremely fast (And if the fight takes place in the DCU, then the Speed Force wouldn't allowed them to go past the speed of light. XD.) But Goku has the advantage in Instant Transmission.

Both can take mighty blows like a bawss, and since Goku doesn't have any actual magic we can assume the damage from his blows would be purely physical. Superman's on Goku as well.

Goku has martial arts experience, whereas Supes fighting experience is all in when he has powers, this gives Goku an advantage as his Kung-Fu is stronger.



I'm still going for Supes though... It's all in popularity power!

I thought that was because Piccolo did an epic fail miss on Raditz.

Raditz wasn't that fast Piccolo just wasn't that accurate with Special Beam Cannon which might be because he even said it was a new move he might not have fully mastered at the time. Heck it took him half an episode just to charge it up.

So I don't think any of the DBZ characters got up to speed of light, just probably as far as they could go without going over it, probably Flash lvl speed. With the exception of instant transmission of course. With Goku definently has the speed edge.

I'm of the opinion that Supes and Goku would end up as friends and while Goku would want to at least spar with Supes they wouldn't kill each other. I would feel a little bad for whomever sorry villain(s) they team up to fight, cause they gonna get messed up...

Maybe the Better fight would be Vegeta VS Superman OR Black Adam

Or if you really want too maybe Shazam/BA VS Goku/Vegeta

I've said it before Superman could beat Goku but Superman would have a really tough fight against Cell

Yes the Dragon Balls are magic so Vegeta could wish Superman dead but conversely someone could round up the Dragon Balls and wish him back to life again.

And then they wish him dead again and then he can't come back anymore...though I guess it depends on which Dragon Balls are used. As far as I know there was only a limit on being brought back to life, not being killed.

That solution doesn't work, the Dragon can't do diddly when it comes to killing or vanishing people who are stronger than their creator. And Supes would take down Kami any day of the week.

I saw the video and can't argue with them since they did more research than I would.

I still feel like Goku just because of the nature of DBZ. Near the end of the series Kid Buu is destroying planets at a Dark Phoenix level, and Goku is near equal to that.

But I'm going to consider it a pointless argument now since there's obviously a lot of points on the Superman side too.

I was going to post this as well. I was SUPER skeptical about the video going in, as I've had many arguments with friends about this specific fight. I've always been in the Goku column, but HOLY CRAP.

This seriously takes into consideration EVERYTHING. There is no other answer. I thoroughly enjoyed this video, and will most likely watch it again lol.

But seriously for anyone who wants to know the true result, watch that video.

It's a great video, especially when it breaks down the measurements of their strengths. It also didn't hurt going in being a subscriber of the DBZ Abridged and JustSomeRandomGuy YouTube series.

I was expecting some joke along the lines of comparing Jimmy Olsen to Krillin, but it was still done very well.

They divided Goku's speed by 10 for no reason, making him like 3 times faster than Superman. There's a lot of other gross inconsistencies, but that's the most obviously wrong.
