Um, thats all players do these days, who doesn't work hard, and how is that even measured? Its so arbitrary and flirting with hyperbole. I mean its great he's hard working and determined, but literally everyone who makes it to that level, and then exceed has to have an insane amount of work ethic and willpower (with a few exceptions for freaks of nature ala Shaq and a number of baseball players). For example there's no way that you can tell me that Patrick Willis wants "it" any less than Tebow and every interview I see of him he's praising God and his team.
From what I've seen he doesn't do anything different then most other players, everyone gives credit to their team before themselves (even diva QBs like Brady seem to genuinely believe it when they say it) and he isn't the first guy to really bring the Jesus (See Kurt Warner, Jim Harbaugh and a multitude of other players), yet there's a lot of vitriol thrown out towards his direction, and on the flip side there's a lot of adulation.
i currently play semi pro football and went to school with current falcons running back michael turner. you would be surprised how many people do not work that hard fort he millions they make
2nd place omaha midwest heroclix championship 2013 14th worlds 2012! Manthing of the THUNDERBOLTS CLAN!!!!!! 6th place Omaha 2014 springfling ROC superqualifier
The praying is nothing more than Tebow's way of entering Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, B, A, Start. It's totally a cheat code. How else do you explain the NFL's 28th best quarterback leading a team in the playoffs?
Tebows a winner, who cares how he does it, the guy can make some thing out of nothing which is awesome, its sad that he has to wait till kthe games on the line to do it, but a wins a win in the end.
Heres to a Baltimore/Saints SB

Don't buy it based off your interaction with 1 player, regardless, you miss the point. He is not doing anything differently than a multitude of other athletes have done before him.
I never in my life thought I would cheer for the cheating, dirty Pats, and I still won't actively cheer for them to win. But I will always cheer for Tebow to lose, even when he is playing the Devil. Just think of all of the things jesus could be doing instead of spending all of his time helping Tebow win yet another football game. I mean Tim really does ask a lot, and the party doesn't get started until someone transmogrifies the water.
Your view of Tebow, which mirrors the medias, is exactly why I want Tebow to win.
@VGA - I don't thin anyone on here (at the time you posted) was really hating that much. People can laugh at themselves and their situations and, heck, making it onto SNL? Not all bad. The skit has its' funny moments and this comes from a life long Broncos fan and a backer of Tebow.
@Len - That's a bit of a myth...he's never said that. Tebow has specifically his prayers are things like, "Look out for everyone's health. Help us to be to the best of our abilities / live up to the talents given to us. etc." He's actually shown disdain for the idea of praying to "win a game". Not trying to turn this into a religious discussion but, rather, point out that this is one of those Myths That Won't Die Which Distort from the Topic.
The SNL sketch is pretty funny. I have no problem with SNL, or other comedians making fun of him. That is what they do. I'm talking about the media's disdain for Tebow simply for his personal beliefs. Judge him on his football skills, and nothing else. But the media can't leave it alone. I won't go into details, or I'll end up getting political, and this is not the place for that discussion.

That kind of thinking is also a large part of why it's so entertaining to watch Tebow do so well. By being as vocal and harsh as they've been, Timmy T's biggest critics have turned him into the underdog, and as we all know, people love the underdog.
And it gets people talking and excited about what's going on. I can tell you that with my normal team practically done half-way through the season, I probably wouldn't be caring nearly as much about the playoffs right now if I didn't have Tebow and the Broncos to root for. That right there is good for the game, whether or not they're winning.
Not only that, but any time Tebow goes out there and the Broncos succeed with him at QB, it also manages to make his major critics look silly.
Critics: Tebow will never succeed as an NFL Quarterback! He doesn't have what it takes!
Critics: Look! Look! He just lost three in a row! We knew it had to be a mistake! Tebow's finished! Never mind that he got them into the Playoffs, they're playing against the Steelers! There's no way the Broncos can beat Big Ben and their super-powered defense!
Tebow: *Broncos beat the Steelers*
And now they're saying that the Patriots/Broncos game is as good as over, and Tebow Time is about to wind down. Frankly, not only am I not buying it till it actually happens, but I'm also of a mindset right now where I would not be surprised if the Broncos manage to go all the way to the Super Bowl. If there's one thing Tebow's wins, especially his overtime wins, should have taught us, you do not count Tebow and the Broncos out until they're actually out.
With that, I'm going to offer the suggestion of going onto Youtube and looking up some videos with Mike Ditka regarding Tebow. The guy manages to do a lot better job than I can summing up why people shouldn't be underestimating him.

All I can reply with is, "Amen brother." Go Tebow and Broncs!
My only problem with SNL is that they quit being funny back in the 90's.
Spoken like someone who hasn't watched it in years.
The current cast is fantastic and this season has had a few amazing episodes. I dare you to watch the Jason Segal episode and tell me it isn't funny anymore. I would put Kristen Wiig, Bill Hader, and Jason Sudeikis, alongside the top three of any other cast. (Except of course Radner, Belushi, and Murray, but they were gods.)
Now, let me say...Tebow did play a really good game against the Steelers. He did, I cannot deny that.
That being said, his story is great. He seems to be completely into his religion and follows it to a T. He isn't one of the so called "thank the Lord" guys, then next thing you know, he is in a nightclub partying with the ladies.
However, he cannot get all the credit for their success. Their Defense is what is winning these games. They keep them in the game until he can do his thing. They dominated the Steelers offensive line. And they are young, meaning they will be a force for quite a while.
Tebow is great for the city of Denver, for now. But I honestly do not think he is the long term answer at quarterback. This was by far his best game as a pro and he was only 10 of 21. They took advantage of the Steelers loading the box and hit them with the long ball.
I am not saying the Broncos do not have a chance this week. The Pats have a horrible defense. And being an Ohio State fan, I hate anything Michigan...including Tom Brady. But if the Broncos win, it will be because of the defense stopping Brady. Not Tebow beating the Pats D.
