you're close, and the character I am talking about actually had a usurper of his organ that called himself just the Maestro breifly (like one issue iirc)

Anton Alegro is correct. If I recall, the Maestro was another Russian who Anton ended up fighting after his musical weapon was usurped. i'm likely wrong , but either way, Anton Allegro is correct!
