I haven't posted something like this on the realms before. I realize that this is probably a site that caters more to power gamers than casual players. Mostly I would like to see more focus on gameplay and less on force construction. For me that would be more fun. I get that I am in the minority on this.
Did people enjoy playing against wildcard abuse teams back in the day? The one time I did I found it completely aggravating. These sort of metagaming teams ruin the whole flavor of the game for me. Now figures that are supposed to be stand-ins for (mostly)comic book characters are nothing more than magic the gathering cards.
For me it's only an enjoyable match up if your team allows your opponent to do something effectively. If it's so well crafted that you are immune to 90% of all tactics the game suffers for it. Who wants to play against that?
Two things!
First, the realms are geared towards all players, regardless of skill/team preference, length of playing, etc. HOWEVER, this subsection is far more geared to power gamers. I've only just recently started hanging out here, and despite playing since IC, I've learned tons.
Second, you picked a bad time to complain. We've been hearing about how Character X plus object Y is horribly broken for so long now it has become pathetic. You would need to find a combo more broken than SIF to get anyone to pay attention anymore.

To the OP. If you are in the belief that something is a "gimick, cheap, or lame" feel free to post in general discussion. You will get tons of sympathizers there for your cause.
If you want valid team building solutions then you need to let go of your baggage. Losses hurt but you need to move on. First off what was your team. I haven't seen that yet. That is the first thing you should post. Next why didn't you put camoflauge on all of your skrulls since the skrull ability gives them possession of shape change. They would have Camo full dial.
Here is my skrull team which should be ok for you to use.
With this team your scenero of Larfeeze getting Sinster map goes out the window. You have +5 to map roll. You have 2 theme team probs. You have a running shot pulsewaver with leadership for your little guys. You have an outwiting bruser. You can't be attacked from range on your main hitters. If you push down field. There is nothing Larfeeze can do to you really. With Skrull Ms. Marvel with the IG she will get anything else she needs and plus stats to make sure she is a better end game monster then Larfeeze.
The best thing is that you can take on a lot of other teams with this layout. If you don't have the old school skrulls you can replace them with the ones from SI. Out of all the figures selected only one is an LE. The rest are common. Really common. If you don't have the LE I know you can barrow it from someone.
The issue may be is that you need to think fun and function. Without both you can't win playing fun teams period. You can't win with comic accurate teams unless you keep this rule.
"Larfleeze has an 11 attack, 3 damage" Unless he hangs back on the prison map with his 11 move and phasing. He did this two games out of three and got to #2 on the gauntlet. Now he's rocking a 12 and a 4 with any power he wants.
"4 OOTS Batmans should probably beat that team handily" Higlander rule always in effect at this venue. Also a special scenario where everyone needed to have shape change, danger girl team or skrulls team. So very little outwit was available. Also Who has four oots batman? I certainly do not. I don't think I would enjoy playing or playing against that either.
"Outwit his poison and defense and he dies quick."
Until he gets to his camouflage click and then you can't draw a line of sight to him. Or he just keeps phasing on the prison map sending his objects after you to poison or quake. Also that first hit isn't going to count because of protected. With Armor piercing and poison he can use a brick like cyborg superman as a tie up figure and keep feeding him objects.
I'm guessing you haven't played a decent player using Larfleeze with the gauntlet yet. Give it a try before you tell me whether it "isn't very good" or not. I just watched it sweep three matches.
Just want to point out two things:
1.) Map choice.
2.) Venue house rules.
Both of these add directly to the competitiveness of any team, and can even slant a team towards being broken. This is why some maps are "legal" at GenCon, and why there is no Highlander rule in place by WizKids.
What you're basically saying isn't so much that Larfleeze is broken, but rather when a sub section of variables aligns as such:
A.) At this time,
B.) on this day,
C.) when no one at the venue was prepared to handle this non-meta team,
D.) on this map,
E.) with these venue house rules in place,
F.) in Golden age,
G.) with these feats equipped
H.) and with the Infinity Gauntlet attached...
Larfleeze is broken. You could take many figures, apply them to the equation and get the same result.... XXXXXX is broken.
Really, Kudos to the Larfleeze player for thinking outside the box. The first person to do this was a brave genius (the eventual copycats - they will be much less inspired). You have someone who took a character that wasn't considered very good by the community and they found a way to make him work. It was probably the best day Larfleeze ever saw.
Now, my personal feeling is that this team could be beaten - on the right map, with the right figures on a team, and even perhaps in spite of the house rules.
I could see getting upset if every player was using this combo at every game (think: Squirrel Girl, Big Figure and Darkseid) but it seems to be an isolated incident.

I'm rather pleased to hear that someone did so well with Larfleeze + the Gauntlet, even with feats. Larfleeze is at the top of my list of figures I want to use with a complete Gauntlet. The full Gauntlet's PC/Q-like trait would do wonders for him alone, and getting access to Steal Energy and a 5 damage CCE when punching through his constructs will be amazing. Then there's all the other powers he might get through the Gauntlet.
Are you serious? Who gets upset about losing to Larfleeze? If someone walked into my venue and played that I would give him props for wonderful execution and thank him for the learning experience because that game is not the last game I will ever play. You make it sound like this guy took your puppy and threw it into a well. I am so tired of player saying teams or figures are broken merely because they "lost". You can't build your opponents team and should expect the unexpected otherwise threads like these show up.
