Multiple Choice Poll. Voters: 247. You may not vote on this poll
I tossed my support behind half a dozen, my personal favourite being the very first one (just with the dial graphed in a bit smaller). The game for smart attractive people has to be really towing the copyright line with Big G, and while it did make me laugh it isn't quite my cup of tea. The eat, sleep, "X" has never been a slogan I'm fond of either. I don't say this to knock anyone, just why some shirts received my support and others did not.
i too liked the first one and agree it would look better with the graphic a lil smaller.
also agree with you on the attractive people shirt... if that one is picked i can see Marvel swooping in real quick to put a stop to it.

Based on everything I'm reading (legal notes, precedence, etc.), I believe that the particular design may draw unneeded attention to our little community (compared to Marvel Comics). So regardless of the votes, that option will be removed from the 2nd round (maybe before). Luckily there are a lot of options that aren't too far behind in the votes.

So what you're saying is don't vote for that one due to the fact that it's being removed from the contest?

Finally picked one. Surprisingly, I didn't care for most of the designs, this year.
The "Eat, Sleep, Clix" designs are too obsessive for my taste. Life is about a whole lot more than HeroClix. Sure, it's a fun game, but nothing worthy of obsessing about, so those two were out.
I hate cake, so the birthday cake was out right away, for me.
I don't believe man is ascended from monkeys, so I can't vote for anything promoting that theory. Consequently, those shirt designs were out (though I did like the timeline portion of it).
The "Clixin' It Old School" was a favorite of mine, as the characiture reminded me a bit of the vault boy character from Fallout (a favorite game of mine).
In the end, I voted for the "Say Hello To My Little Firends" shirt. It was pretty clever. The design is attractive enough to make people take a second look, the quote is familiar enough to people to put a popular pop culture reference in people's heads, and there's enough supplementary information on the shirt to make people ask "What's this about on your shirt?" Nice job!
Let's Play "Whoizzit?"
My Avatar is an as-yet-un-clixed character. If you know who it is, be the first respondant to correctly identify this character I'll send you some free rep!
I threw this one together to sneak it in at the last minute.
They might not be as good as some of the finalists but I still had fun working on my ideas. I can't wait to see what the next contest might be.
Good luck to all who made the finals!
Often that which makes one a hero is a simple matter of chance and fortune-though some would say that the true hero makes his oun chances.
A shame the The Game for Smart Attractive People can't be used, it was quite clever. Have you thought about modifying the design so it seems more generic/less copywritable?

The only thing that could be saved is the text ... and at that point it would pretty much be a different design. We do ohwn a design that might fit well; I'll have to see if it can be modified to work (I tought about submitting if for this contest, but we ran out of time).
UPDATE: The The Game for Smart Attractive People option has been removed due to copyright concerns. One can argue that it's only popular because it's a blatant rip-off of an iconic character that Marvel created ... and we just can't risk that. The fact that "HeroClix" and "HCRealms.com" play such a minor roll in the entry certainly doesn't help matters.
This is the one shirt that I submitted that didn't get used:
The picture on the card was from the HCRealms dinner at Gencon 2011. The point total for the character card was an homage to Zero_Cochrane. It was the total post counts that he made divided by the cost of the Ghost Rider 2099 figure. The idea had merit (at least I thought so) but probably worked better as an idea than in execution. Too many colors to be produced cheaply and unless you knew Heroclix, you wouldn't know what you were looking at.

what I liked about the The game for smart attractive people WAS the text. I hope you can bring it back in some form.
It's not really my call since I didn't submit the design. It was borderline when I pushed it to the voting process ... but it passed because of the text. At this point it would be hard to replace it with something else (since voting has already started). I'll see with the designer and see if he/she wants to submit something. Based on the vote count I believe I could justify it going to the next round (even if it didn't have galactus in it).
