Duel. - first it's fine to place an object (light? heavy? Choice?), initiator's choice of where. Doesn't have to be between, but should be equidistant from both contenders. The Prof's at quite a disadvantage here. His Super Senses will make all the difference. Do I push him, or let you decide whether to push Cap or not? I guess I push. First I Outwit Cap's Toughness. AV10 on DV18. Gets 10. Thank you, Charles. 2 to Cap. The Prof gets Perplex. He'll up his DV to 17

I won't push Cap so no movement is his battle against Xavier.
In the Archangel/Widow battle I roll a 6, so Natasha starts in the center at E3 and Warren is four squares away at G6. I placed an LO in E5, equidistant to them both.
She attacks Warren by rs to E5. Needs 9, (am I putting myself in tough spots with characters you have ss and esd), rolls 8. Close but not enough. Am wondering if I'm picking the wrong battles but this seemed like a good match.
She-Hulk smacks one of the Madrox off the roof. "That's one less annoyance but they seem to spread like rabbits. Hey....anyone see where the Widow went?"

I admit that I am more of a collector than an actual player but really enjoy following along some of the 'Play By Post' battles from time to time. I am curious, however, about the following:

I thought that when rolling to break away on a result of 3 or less your character fails to break away and can’t move or attack. You must then resolve the action immediately, including assigning that character (Hulk) any action tokens for that action. I am sorry if this sounds like a stupid question but I am really trying to learn the game and want to ensure that I fully understand this portion of the rules. Thanks!
You're absolutely right on this, overseeker. That's the actual ruling for break away. However we have a house rule that allows an attack if the break away fails. Make sense?

Hulk couldn't have moved last turn. Jamie Incapped him, so he'd need to clear. He could only have attacked Madrox A anyway. Jamie's on the next level of elevated.
And since there are 4 Fight Maps, 4 duels is probably good.
Kitty back to H10
Lockheed on Beast. AV9 +1 on DV17 +2. Gets 8. Almost good enough.

I guess I need a Juggernaut to deal with the Hulk. Classic match-up there. Juggernaut picks up the LO from D15 and Charges to I14 to try to hit HUlk, AV11 on DV19. Gets 9. Booyah. Hulk still gets an Impervious roll though. And of course it's a 5. Maaan, this game is just going to be full of suckage. Can't hit the Hulk, you steal all my good characters into Duels. It's not starting well for me at least. Oh well, plenty of time yet to turn this around.
Morph Perplexes his Damage to 3. Charges to G6, attacks Cho. AV9 on DV15. Gets 9. Cho makes it 7. Aaaand there's another 7. But we've already got two duels going on, and I'm not sure who'd be a decent matchup for Morph. Beast or Nova or Justice.If I could take the Hulk, just to get him off the map for a while, I would, but the point differential is too great. You know what, I'll pass on the dueal and do the 3 to Amadeus.
"Well if it ain't my old sparring partner, the Hulk. This is gonna be fun." The Juggernaut grabbed a boulder and brought it down on the Hulk's head with enough force to pulverize it. The Hulk was in much better shape.
"Hulk will smach you, Juggernaut! Hulk will smash you all!"
"Ah, I'm just getting warmed up," the Juggernaut said.
"I don't think I can hurt the Hulk, but with Captain America and the Black Widow gone, I'm betting your the brains of this operation," Morph told Amadeus, coming through the trees to hit him.
"Even with them around, I'm still the brains," Cho said. "Though I'll concede their experience."
Don't forget to add Juggernaut to your point totals.
As for Hulk, he had no tokens last turn so Jamie couldn't incap him, just gave him a token. So last turn when Hulk attacked Jamie (who is the figure in I12 on elevated terrain but the sort of stairway to that terrain), it was valid. This turn Hulk has to clear. And believe me, I'd rather him be able to fight this round!
Beast has to roll for traitor tokens. 9. He passes but if he uses outwit he takes a token which would be a push. Grrrrr.
Nova charges to J14 attacking Juggs. Needs 6, rolls 10. Imperv is 6, of course.

Jamie tries to Regenerate. ROlls 6. Nice. heals back up to full.
Juggernaut. Do I push? I need a 9. That's a tough roll and no way to make that easier. If I don't Hulk will attack him and then I have to take a chance with my Impervious roll. No. I'm not feeling it. I'll pass and hope for the best.
