Thank you, this is the most intelligent retort I've received thus far. Everyone else just goes "nuh uh! I don't want that to be true, so it isn't" you have actually provided vague and broad examples to support your argument. However, you contradicted yourself. Guys and girls you CAN'T pick and choose which rule you like. If the word AND permits perplex and outwit simultaneously, then the word AND also allows phasing/hss. Together. That's like saying you don't like the first turn immunity rule, so your inly going to abide by half of it. Or perhaps you have a theme team! Youyour probability rolls but you sonny want to allow players to remove a battlefield condition or listen to the rest of the prerequisites. Give me a week, I am requesting an OFFICIAL ruling and will post it soon. Until then...play how you want and break as many rules as you want.
I didn't contradict myself. "Outwit and Perplex makes both available, and you can use both since both require free actions and nothing prevents multiple free actions. "HsS and Phasing/Teleport" make both available as well, but to use either you must give the figure a non-free action (Move for P/T, Power for HsS). Since there is a rule that prevents giving the figure more than one non-free action per turn you can't use them together: you have to choose. In both cases "and" makes both powers available, but the use of them is still subject to the normal rules of use.
I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you.

Hey thanks for the link. However, I was fully aware of everything within its text. So im still not convinced that you have even read it. Im going to pursue my own avenue for an answer. It will be geared specifically towards one question, rather than a broad statement of combos cans and cants. Once again thank you for providing the link.
I must have misunderstood you then since the article makes it quite clear why Spider-Girl cannot use Charge, Running Shot and Leap/Climb simultaneously.

Additionally, I'll point out that Outwit and Perplex are not used simultaneously. Each one requires a distinct a free action to be used. Thus, each one's effect may be ongoing simultaneously, but they are not used simultaneously.
BTW, I don't have my 2012 rule book handy, does anyone recall if the Hypersonic/Phasing example was kept? I think we may have pulled it out from the "in line" examples but replaced it with a Q&A at the back of the book.
When I say that this post made my day, I'm not exaggerating. Granted, I've had 3 hours sleep in between chaotic work travel days, but still. Pretty funny.

I just searched for it and it didn't find it.

I wonder who will give him his ruleing ? Harpua, normalview, Quebbster, Vlad3theimpaler or TechG0D ? LOL best thread right now!

I can't find the Phasing/Hypersonic example. On page 17 under Special Powers this exact type of issue is discussed, but the example is "can use Exploit Weakness and Flurry". Same principle, though.

I wonder if the rule book is a strong enough source for InfinityWatchReturns.
Can you walk and chew gum? I can
Can you run, swim, and ride a bike? I can
There is nothing about the conjunctioin "and" that necessitates they happen at the same time or that one can not be done without the other.
In common english language : truth.
Powers listed like that with the "and" are just like different colors appearing on a dial, i believe that's it.
(Well, except the fact that if they are possessed they are like colors on a dial, and if they can be used and part of a trait, it's a little different - but whatever)

And that's one of the things that were changed (always use "and" now i think, as far as i can tell) for the better.
For context, remember i was one of the guys that were complaining about the can use / must use / may use in another thread...
That's why i insist here that it has been clarified, and in a way that is 100% compatible with common english language interpretation : that's great.
I'm the first to criticize when it's seems not good enough to me, and i try to make it a habit to point out when good job has been done to improve the game. My way to balance things out !
Here i think it's the case.

I guess we'll find out in a week once he gets his "offical response!" Or another three weeks when he comes back around to tell us he is the only source of the correct rules. He's like the messiah lol.

InfinityWatchReturns, if you're still paying attention to this thread but staying silent because of the complete and utter smackdown you've received from the volunteer (yet no less official for it) rules team, please stay far away from South Dakota. I've played people like you in this and other games but none have been anywhere near as contumacious and/or willfully blind as you have shown yourself. The experiences have been universally unpleasant and I hope to never discover your presence at any venue I have played at or am even aware of existing in a neighboring state.
In short, sir, you are not just violating the "don't be a dink" rule. Rather, you are digging up the corpses of its ancestors out to no less than three generations prior and using wires and machinery to perform some sort of grotesque puppet show to disparage the dink rule with its own dead family. Once this is done, you falsely inform the IRS that it's cheating on its taxes, triggering a nightmarish slog of seemingly-endless auditing. You are about as near the Platonic ideal of a dink as I have seen on any forum, and I've seen many both here and on SomethingAwful. Grab a fork, because you have indeed taken the cake.
Edit: He's not the Messiah. He's a very naughty boy.
